Here's the thing. The day before Dede testified, the letter from Tony, Kaine & Desiree was published.

Not the day before Dede testified. The letter from Tony, Kaine & Desiree was published on Thursday July 22.

Dede didn't testify until Monday July 26.

But word was already out on Friday that she was going to testify on Monday.

I can't help being skeptical, especially in this case, lol---this sounds like more bullying and force from LE, IMO...DS refused to talk and they didn't "play games", they subpoenaed her...I could be wrong!

This is what I had suspected--
"So, all indications were that DeDe was not cooperating voluntarily with the police, so they sent her a clear message saying, 'We're going to bring you in, put you under oath and compel you to testify.' That seemed to have gotten the message to DeDe and indirectly to those around her," he said."

The word "Abrupt" brings to mind several possibilities when DeDe got the call because it has the connotation of "unplanned" or "sudden." Of course, that is just what the onlookers think - she might have been waiting for that call for all we know, and just hopped to it when she got the call/signal/message - whatever it was.

"Abrupt" could be like a reaction to an emergency. Or it could just be someone actively walking away without any explanation.

What I want to know is, did she often act this way? Did she often get such calls? I'm thinking not, just because these bystanders/witnesses seem to remember it so well that it was out of the ordinary.

I'd be willing to bet that Dede's co-workers did not think it so weird that she took off at lunchtime, if she did, until police came around...then it became much more mysterious, etc...

So no one knew DD left but they knew she left abruptly? :waitasec:

Interesting. So, a number of people see a random gardener get a phone call and split but no one sees Kyron his last few minutes at school, or his departure. Is this the situ?

What call did Dede get? I still haven't been able to find any link saying Dede got a call (other than speculation on blogs with no sources).

Would really appreciate some help finding this link, if anyone has it.

TIA

The person who owns the house, who was cooperating with investigators, told them she called Spicher on her cell phone but she didn't answer, the source told KGW. A person who was working with Spicher, who was also cooperating with investigators, told them of trying to unsuccessfully find Spicher. Both people have told investigators they have no idea where Spicher was during that period.

I think Bean E was asking if Dede received a call that led her to "leave abruptly"- is there a link to that call? Or is this an assumption?

Yes, thanks, C, that's what I'm looking for. :)

Well, she can't have gotten a call if it's true that she forgot her cellphone like her friends say.

Oooohhh...ooohhh...looks like GJ days are on Mondays. I can't imagine that DY and TY would be needed for the MFH charge.
