2010.08.16 Brad Conway Resigns

Oh!! I get it...it's the allegation of quid pro quo..if you let me represent Tim Miller, I'll let your lawyer look at the docs. Thank you TWA! The other (well probably one of many) falsehood in CA's ranting email was where she alleged that TM and LP conspired to plant the Disney dress by the airport.

BC at least lent the A's a hint of respectability..the quiet gentlemanly demeanor, the wheelchair..he elevated their image a titch. It seemed very much a sham relationship, however, because BC was not forceful and couldn't make CA understand that this case is not about HER and she is not the authority. BC could not get her to shut up and he was nearly as meek and impotent as GA in his relationship with CA. Why is it no one can get CA to put a cork in it?? CA loves being in control---Brad helped to sometimes "buffer" her from others. It will be most interesting to see how the A's handle themselves from here on out. We have a 50-50 change for some excellent upcoming theatrics.

The really weird part of this case is just how much attention Cindy actually gets, because as much as she forces herself, her opinions, her antics and her lies upon us and the media, she isn't part of this case either. She is merely a witness to some events, and as such will actually play just a bit part in the trial. The SA already has her on record re their classy act getting the 911 calls introduced as evidence - but beyond that - she isn't a player at all.

And yet, as of today, we have six threads dedicated to her. Talk about diverting attention from the real meat of the State vs, Casey Anthony!

Justice for Caylee - let's get on with it!!!

IMO He is as emotionally attached to this case as we are - more so because he actually knows these people.

Oh I get that and agree - but why make the big deal about resigning as their attorney when it will make no difference to the day to day routine. I'm just waiting for AZ or RH to confirm this resignation is a bunch of whooey because he could easily testify in court because he doesn't in any way represent the accused in the case.
Baloney baloney Brad - quit the histronics and show us the book deal.

But according to Cindy she and KC are the same person, cut from the same fabric so if we have serious issues with CA we have to have the same for KC. Afterall KC won't speak so CA feels she has to. Too bad it is not helping KC's case and aren't we more convinced than ever that KC could, in fact, have done this because of the behavior of the CA..... What's that old saying, "Silence is golden". jmo

But he said in his statement he will continue to support the Anthony's, will attend any hearings and the trial. Doesn't sound like disassociation to me!

Disassociation by bar standards but not in actual physical distance from the A's or the case. He simply has taken his "lawyer" hat off and will be doing the exact same things he was doing prior for the A's only now it will be while he wears the "friend of the family" hat.

AL was a witness -- that's where JB would have lost me if I believed anything that he said. The "AL" thread is full of quoted remarks by AL about what she would do and has done do keep clients from getting sentenced to death. And the flip side of that, how she would basically save herself rather than get an innocent person released from jail.

So I say "hooray Brad" for getting out while you can.

Lambchop what a true statement! Maybe she thinks the saying means everyone else but her should be silent....LOL

MY take is that he doesn't agree with the motions and the lies being put forth by the defense team. Maybe if the defense would try to base their motions on some TRUTH, he might have stayed. No self-respecting attorney wants ANYTHING to do with this case. It's made up of a bunch of liars and shysters imo.

Kudos to Nejame for standing his ground and behaving as a lawyer should behave.

I think Cindy is more than a witness. She has tampered with evidence, lied, and tried to involve any innocent person she can to try to deflect blame away from her daughter. Look how she has gone after the Grunds, Casey's friends, Roy Kronk. The list is endless.

In spite of what she tried to get rid of in the car, there was still enough forensic evidence there to show that Caylee's body had been in the trunk. The washing of the clothes, getting rid of the washing machine. . . . blah blah

In terms of TES, she initially hired Tim Miller. As her attorney, he had every right to view those files IMO.
She just did not want him searching for a "dead" Caylee. Her preventing Casey from showing him where to look on the map for the remains is absolutely chilling.

If this woman is not brought up on charges, with all she has done to hamper this case, I will no longer beilieve in our system of justice. And if we ever start feeling sorry for her, all we need to do is g back and watch those Morgan tapes.

Brad Conway is a class act. I do not care who he represented. He stood by the Anthony family for TWO YEARS with no pay. He didn't grandstand either.

Now, Nejames has stated out of RESPECT for the Anthonys he let Brad see the documents first. And from my understanding, Conway is now facing issues with this because of ICA's attorneys.

Yep, the bus is rolling towards him now and he is not about to just stand there. He has done nothing wrong.

Cindy is now going to be FURIOUS with the defense team. She cared very much about Brad, from everything I've seen and heard.

Good. She might stop cooperating with the defense and start blurting out some truths. Oh, she'll protect ICA of course, but this will make her mad enough at the defense that she will let truths slip by.

If he hadn't done it this way everyone would be speculating as to why he resigned. And Lord knows what those reasons would have been.

Oh my friend, so glad you came and weighed in. Don't hold back, tell us how you really feel. :blowkiss:

I think Brad was exaggerating "bar standards" because I understand there was no problem with him testifying to the inaccuracies of Baez statements. I'm just waiting for some legal minds to hop on here and comment. Hello Faefrost??? You always give us some brilliant comments - where are you today?

imo, if he testified to the inaccuracies of Baez statements, it would contradict Cindy's email that the waiver was in exchange for access to the TES records. He would have to say his client was lying.

what I was trying to imply was HHJP perhaps wanted to go fishing (okay rainbow included) with him....get away from crazy town???? find a moment of sanity??????

I gothcha. :)
JPerry may be banking up his sanity hours. lol
Mine are all gone. :)

Another liar out of the mix. Good riddance, IMCO!

Succinct and to the point - I like it!!
Conway is a liar and has continued to spin untruths and support the Anthony's untruths.
Even his resignation is SPIN, and a lie - IMO
He is quitting because CINDY sent a letter to MN without Conway's knowledge and accused MN of things that Conway KNOWS are not true, and then CINDY sent copies to JB - who in turn used them to make allegations against MN.

He is quitting because CINDY continues to try to CONTROL all matters, in spite of sound legal advice against some of the things she does. Now she has gone to far and implicated Conway in the lies and crappola.

What CINDY did has forced Conway to take a stand .... he could take that stand though, without resigning.

He plans to stay in the case, on the sidelines, much like Atty Tennis is doing, and attend Hearings, to keep themselves relevant for future MEDIA deals and talking head spots on JVM and NG and TruTV. IMO

I hope Cindy does not find another attorney she can manipulate and control like she did Conway.
I'm glad her sense of security is now taken away on this level.

"With regret, I am forced to resign as George and Cindy Anthony's attorney. The defense motion filed on Aug. 9, 2010, contains allegations that are not, in fact, true. As an officer of the court, I cannot stand idly by knowing allegations involving me have been misstated."
-from statement released by BC

I think that BC is taking a stand to bring down JB for the sake of ICA and the A's.

Yes, yes, I agree Celticthyme, but you may have misunderstood what I was saying. Take it from the court's point of view or the States Attorney's office, as far as prosecuting ICA for the murder of Caylee Anthony, Cindy will be a bit player in the hearings and trial as to the evidence against ICA. We and the media have been forced to witness and document Cindy's actions, but from a legal point of view in the trial against ICA - Cindy is just spitting in the wind.

Soooooooooooooo, what does everyone think Attorney John Morgan is doing this morning????? The A's will need one for that trial I would think or they will just have to keep their mouths shut......
