Here's the weird thing: a child advocate (with over a decade of experience) claims to have no knowledge of child trafficking in an area that is reported to have a serious child/human trafficking problem... :waitasec:

From the photos we've seen posted here, there are not enough landscapers in Oregon...all we see is endless vegetation capable of hiding schools full of people :(

Isn't that the truth....

Where is Kyron?

The older Mr. Wishart (b. 1941) has been in the news a lot recently regarding ...
No one has said the man is his father. Be careful, don't jump to conclusions!

He knew her for ten months, they dated for two months. Did I hear that right?

And during the last few months he knew her, they only saw or spoke with one another a few times, until the *official* break-up on Aug.1st, after which he kept every card, SWAK love letter, photo, etc. (and still has them a year later), even though he admittedly was *turned off* by her after she lost her job & quit working out.

KATU saying interview with boyfriend at 5:00 if you'd like to watch him in action....

http://www.katu.com/news/live

No more, no more!!! EmmaPeel and others have already made me laugh so hard my sides are aching... he's gonna come up with some more gems in this interview too I am sure.

(drink lemonade and discuss old girlfriends while he builds a fence).. still LOL and wiping away tears.

Knew each other for 10 months, but only actively dated for a few months @ the beginning, then contact with one another tapered off.

Yet, the topic of marriage (according to JW) had come up. Who talks about getting married in the first few months of dating (rhetorical question)?!

  • #248
There is something not quite right with him. imo.

  • #249
I haven't read all of this, but my first instinct is: Why would anyone put himself out there by giving such a "report" on someone else? My gut tells me he has some unfinished business with DeDe, and sees this as a way to take care of that business with DD. He IMO has an agenda other that finding Kyron. Now, back to reading the other posts.

I think Kimster is also providing these aliens with birkenstocks and other appropriate PNW attire, so that they may comfortably multiply while on earth....

Kimster :blowkiss:

Hoooooooodiiiiiiieeeees!

I got my Birks on the Mother Ship. :)

What happened to his decision not to do any more media interviews?

Obviously, an important, compassionate man possessed of such knowledge and wisdom, and with so many skills, including a 4.0 from U of P, and then there's the ability to live on ramen noodles, well, his viewpoint is *needed* in the world. Really, he's just providing a public service. How compassionate of him to do this for the general good.

ETA/ ruh oh. KATU described him as "One of Spicher's former boyfriends..."

What happened to the first, the last, and the only?

Reminds me of the old adage, "methinks, The lady doth protest too much"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_lady_doth_protest_too_much,_methinks.

The phrase has come to mean that one can "insist so passionately about something not being true that people suspect the opposite of what one is saying."

Kind of a diverting tactic?

I give him kudos on his volunteer work for advocacy of children and am very relieved to hear he is never around them in this volunteer capacity.

If I understand correctly, the author of the letter in question has served as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). Areas of responsibility for this position almost always include direct contact with children who have been, for whatever reason, identified by the Court as being at risk.

I too am struck by the writing style of this individual. Syntax, structure, etc are fair but the whole thought process comes across as less than cohesive.

If I ever submitted any sort of Opinion to the Court in a style similar to the aforementioned author, the Judge would hand me my arse wrapped up in a letter of dismissal.

CASA provides training for volunteer child advocates in Multnomah & Washington Counties (as well as across the country). Here's a brief snippet from their website:

Volunteers get to know the child and meet with the people who are important in that child's life: family members, teachers, medical professionals and others. Their research informs the decisions of the judge and ultimately helps the child to find a safe, permanent home.

I will say this - CASA volunteers do admirable work, and I commend anyone who takes the time to commit to it.

However, I STILL think there's something strange about JW, IMO.

Same here. We married 6 months after meeting and just had our 27th anniversary. It works sometimes. If you marry a saint.

What would prompt him to slightly change the spelling of his last name?

For a student of Criminal Justice, does he not know that one thing LE looks for is someone involving themsleves in the investigation of a crime? (somewhat like all of us here - LOL)

I wonder if he successfully completed his degree?

In the letter he said that he had to discontinue his studies for financial reasons. (I would guess he intends to return at some future time. JMO)

Well I dunno, I think it may have affected HIS chances of getting another girlfriend... You know, an ad on the Craigslist: "Are you looking for a WM, about 40, GSOH, good at building planting boxes, works 15 hours a day but is broke, will dump you if you become unemployed, depressed or gain weight, and if you're in some trouble after the break up, will tell all your secrets for the Oregonian and show your letters on TV. Don't miss this chance! Let me be the first and last man in your life!"

Bless you, Donjeta, for your post that made my day. That's what's out there now days if you want to date. A first bf like that can scar you for life.

I wonder whose idea it was to conduct the interview out on the sidewalk on the bike?

He comes across as very normal & believable (charming, even) in the interview - but my goodness, that letter. I'm still trying to reconcile the JW in the interview with the JW in the letter (as well as other *statements*). They are @ odds with one other, IMO.
