Here here, wellspoke ohio. Attorneys are not supposed to be heros. They are supposed to represent their clients. Sometimes very unpopular ones. Sometimes very guilty ones. I work for and with attorneys every day. Never yet seen one wearing a cape. Never yet met one who would want to. They just want to do their jobs.

Attorneys are judged, by me, on why they do something. If an attorney believes that mounting a vigorous defense for everybody makes our country stronger because it uses the full value of the constitution and helps eliminate mistakes by LE then more power to him, in my opinion it's a worthy reason. I couldn't do it but God bless those who do for that reason.

If an attorney is strictly in it for the money or fame then they don't get much respect from me. If they willingly go along with trying to pin a murder on an innocent person, and then another innocent person, and then another innocent person, they don't get my respect.

Nobody, should ever want to be viewed as wearing a cape but some attorneys deserve them and should wear them proudly. I am not a hero worship guy but there is [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morris_Dees"]one person I would call a hero to me.[/ame]

I understand and agree with what you are saying and why you are saying it because you are obviously upfront and around them all the time.

But could I just add? We all want to be heroes sometime, somewhere to somebody - don't we?

Telling the A's he was resigning was done in a matter of fact way, they were not happy to lose their lawyer.

He does not believe he will be a witness and he would have loved to have been a fly on the wall, HHJJP does not put up with the name calling and accusations thrown in the legal pleadings.

Did Cindy Anthony Obstruct Justice?

The TV station has given the FBI an e-mail message forwarded to them by former Anthony family spokesperson Larry Garrison. If the message was written by Cindy Anthony, it may indicate her role in attempting to cover for daughter, Casey Anthony, who is facing charges that she murdered her 3-year-old daughter Caylee in June, 2008.

Essentially, the e-mail seems to indicate that Cindy Anthony gave the wrong hairbrush to police when they asked her for a source of DNA they could use to compare likely DNA from Caylee to DNA found in the trunk of a vehicle Casey Anthony abandoned around the time of her daughter's disappearance.

In the e-mail in question, Cindy Anthony allegedly told Garrison that she "never lied" to police. Instead, Cindy wrote that she "never went to my bathroom to get the hairbrush that I used only for Caylee...."


Evidently she's never heard of a lie by omission.

Check your battery, I think your watch stopped!!! She is going to have a field day with him for laughing off the Zanny story. Loosely interpreted, there was no Zanny, that is not to be believed, everything from top to bottom that my clients have said for two years on that topic is just not to be believed. Indeed he chuckled at it. I was glad to hear him say it!

IMO, the state has to do something about this to discourage future families. I think they are waiting til the end of the trial because it's not a punishable lie outside of court. The testimony at trial will really sink them.

I never expected heros.(though I know a couple of lawyers that deserve that title) I just wonder ..the words honour and integrity and officer of the court got thrown around. Why did it take so long and changed circumstances for these ideals to kick in? Why didn't they crop up sooner when everyone else was the target? :waitasec:

I listened to this again last night....and noticed the part where Brad said the SAO asked for a transcript of George's Grand Jury testimony, which he thought was to compare to his interviews with LE in order to lay the way for obstruction of justice charges. Does anyone know if we will ever find out what George did say at the Grand Jury? Or will that never come out?

The thing that I would like to know more about is on here someone said that BC said something about blood evidence in the trunk of the car that was discovered when Mark Furhman was in town? he didnt mention that in his book? was this a slip and or is the defense going to bring up blood evidence with Marks name as in the OJ case? give me a break! would like to know more about this as we didnt even hear that or read that in the document dumps or we would have started a thread for it?

Well he pretty much admitted Cindy's emails were the reason he had to resign. What he said happened conflicted entirely with her email to NeJames (that was cc'd to Baez). He admits that what he knew was in conflict with his client's thoughts.

I KNOW someone is going to ask me for a link to those letters will try to find them and add the link.

He told the media how the A's haven't lied about anything. He told the media that there was no duct tape. Brad is a liar. The monies he recieved for brokering the media deal is just the tip of the iceburg and he knows it. He has enabled the A's to continue their pathetic denial tour. He is just as much a media as the rest of them. I'm sick of people like him that think they are smarter than the rest of us by giving a few tid bits of information that he knows the public wants to hear and then expects to become the hero. A hero would have stopped the A's in the beginning. A hero would have instilled some respect for the deposition process to his clients. Agree totally. The thing that got me was his self righteous attitude about the anthonys not getting paid for interviews - as if that was beneath them - then we find out they're getting tens of thousands for 'licencing' fees. Utterly disingenuous and disgusting. Just playing word games.

Part of the problem I think is that attorneys seem to believe they are saving the world, fighting the good fight, like Mason said "helping the poor", etc, as if they are to be lauded as defenders of truth and justice. Of course not all are that way...but you can hardly see an ad (why are they advertising anyway?) without all the symbolism - the scales of justice, lady justice, the noble symbols like some coat of arms from thousands of years ago, meant to imply that we mere mortals are witnessing an age old tradition, far above our understanding and position in life - and therefore we should be intimidated and in awe of these amazing people we call lawyers.

Maybe if they didn't put that image out there and always seem to try to impart some mystical element to what they do, which is largely game playing and manipulation, people wouldn't try to see them in black and white terms? I don't know - I just wish that society would have the same fascination with people who do real good on a daily basis.

It is entirely possible, and even likely, that Brad was paid BY CBC and NOT by the Anthony family, thereby making his statement that he worked for them pro-bono and received no money from THEM a truthful statement. He may have made some other money OFF of this, but not FROM them...Make sense? :waitasec:

Well that's the problem. It's dishonest to lead people to believe something is being done for free - when it isn't. When he says pro bono, he knows very well that people assume he isn't getting paid. If he were honest, AND he wanted to bring up money, he would include not only who isn't paying him, but who is paying him. It's manipulative.

Somewhere along the lines I remember heresay that Cindy was going to give LE the dogs brush (no link). Instead she picked up a brush that both Caysey and Caylee used. She never went into her bathroom to get the brush used solely by Caylee. WHY?
