Tim said in the interview I listened to today that at the end of each day people were supposed to turn their search sheets into the office but there were so many people there it was hard to keep track of all the forms and no one would have known if someone didn't turn theirs in.
So I suppose if you were in a really busy area with people signing up with their ID, would it have been easy for someone to pick up one and be accidently handed another one by one of the leaders or organizers - fill out one and palm the other?
Can someone who was there answer if that was possible?
I worked that table during what I refer to as "the big search" along with 2 and sometimes 3 other people. I was instructed to check the form for completeness, check their photo ID, watch them sign the application and compare it against their ID signature. I didn't see anyone who didn't already have a form in hand that was already filled out. I didn't see any blank application forms there nor did I ever hear anyone ask for one to fill out. I was under the impression that they had all probably downloaded, printed and completed their applications before they arrived ~ just as I had done.
Can't tell you much about the search area forms being turned in at the end of the day as I wasn't involved with that aspect. I do know it took my son quite some time to discover where to turn his in as there was some confusion. I am pretty sure that only the team leaders were involved with these forms ~ not each individual searcher.
I know this doesn't really answer many questions but thought it might give you a better idea of how the process worked (from my limited perspective). It was super busy with all those volunteers and I'm sure I missed a lot of things that were going on around me!
