It is possible that Zahra painted her own room. When my daughter was 10 she begged me to paint her own room. After an hour or two she wished I hadn't let her. Maybe that is why it is so sloppy?

Also, am I the only one who can not see KB holding a dog? It looks like a purse, coat, stuffed animal or something of that nature, to me. Who crosses their arms tightly like that over a real animal? I imagine holding a dog like that would be pretty difficult. However, I've done that with a coat for comfort/out of insecurities.

Most likely a stuffed animal.

I seriously doubt that LE would leave a dog in the house or that KB would have one with her. At the nanosecond before she gets into the truck you can see her shifting the toy between her hands and it seems like she is holding it with one hand. Every single screen cap or video I have seen just show a stuffed animal.

I think that the head board was against the left wall, and she was in that corner when she was beaten... and she sat on the edge of her bed leaning over with a massive nose bleed..

Respectfully snipped and BBM: Does this look like the dog she was carrying? I found this pic snooping through AB's Facebook...

dog.jpg

Is that photo from early Oct or more recent? When we got our pit puppy (at 8 weeks) he was just a little larger than the pup in the photo, a month later he was more than double the size. Unless this is not a pit - figure 6 weeks old (weaned and tagged) Oct 9, he would now be 10 weeks old...

My daughter has a stuffed animal-"shepherd puppy" that looks like the
"puppy" KB was carrying -

Ok, so i'm thinking after looking at the pictures of Zahra's bedroom that it likely wasn't painted in a rush to cover up because the inside of the closet is painted, including the clothing bar etc., but obviously there wasn't anything to "cover up" in there given that LE seems to have left it intact. so i ask myself, 1. who paints the INSIDE of the closet and certainly not the bar you hang clothes on, to match a room anyway? and 2. more importantly, if you were trying to cover evidence in a hurry, why bother if there wasn't anyting to hide? the rest of the house i think was painted already too, with the exception of the bathroom. I think the BATHROOM was a rush job using leftover paint from the rest of the house. MOO, JMO etc etc

Gidget, you have made an excellent observation. That is what I was wondering too.

Why would anyone bother to paint the inside of the closet pink, in addition to the bar you hang the clothes on?

Those 2 details right there, make me think that the room was already painted that colour. It wasn't by EB/AB.

Which is not to say, that they didn't go over parts of the wall, which would indicate a coverup.

I wonder if some parts of the walls were original and some were touched up?

When was the paint bought? Before they moved in? or a timeline AFTER ZAHRA's death??? I am sure LE knows by now.
I would like to see a before the moved in pics of the house.
Love to see their (EB/AB) bedroom...............!!!!

When I watched the tour of the house on big screen tv the paint in Zahra's room looks pretty fresh, atleast the sponge/smear portion does to me.looks hastily done too IMO.

Forgive me if this has been discussed, I haven't seen it here yet.

What exactly is that in the tub? Paint????

If it was blood, LE would not have left the tub, right?

Does anyone have the video link for the footage of EB and AB's bedroom?

Perhaps he hasn't decided what to do with everything since he doesn't have another home right now and the landlord is letting him keep the stuff there until he does. Considering where he might be going...maybe other family will have to deal with it?

MOO

The landlord said I am putting him out on the the street - I don't want to clean up after him - For some reason LE is still allowing him to walk around free. (sorry paraphrased) I'm not feeling a whole lot of love coming through there. Like enough for someone to allow their tenant to store belongings until they can make other arrangements.

OTOH The Baker's should have some rights too, re eviction - I can't imagine leaving my child's belongings behind, of course if someone I knew laid a hand on them.. eh, not gonna go there. These are not normal people...

Do we know what the house looked like before they moved in? Are we sure they painted the room(s) or is it possible that the room was pink from a previous tenant?

We don't know - I think it is very likely that room was pink when they moved in, the closet not having the same treatment says it was faster to do a solid paint job - no reason to put extra time into something that is normally behind a closed door.

What I don't understand is the windows faced the front of the house and these neighbors are seen outside walking around while LEO were passing missing posters - if Zahra was locked in that room all the time - how come no one ever saw her looking out the window?

Remember, they had only been in the house for a few weeks on Oct 9 - assuming Zahra moved in with them, even if she were there up til the first of Oct - not much time for one little girl to do any damage.

Im not sure how old that puppy is. I found this pic on AB's facebook friends... I think it may be his brothers pic. When I seen this pic I thought it looked like what grandma was carrying out of the house. So if she was carrying a real puppy it may have been his. However she might have been carrying a stuffed dog like she said I cant really tell from the video if it is real or not. JMO

Yes I was just thinking if it was newly painted it might be just the sponge job part. I have done this technique and it can be done quickly with a sponge but that paint looks smeared on and blotchy. You would think if lots of painting was goin on there would still be a hint of fresh paint odor and the reporter might comment on that. Maybe as mentioned the Landlord went in and noticed some redecorating.

But doesn't it stand to reason they would have seen blood splatter on the ceiling the first time they were in the house? So I don't think that's it.

If that's the case why didn't they see everything else when they were in there the first time? The amount of stuff in that house that has been removed is shocking! Why didn't they see what ever it was on Zahra's wall? They certainly took out a large chunk of it.

The next door neighbor had said that they saw AB using the woodchipper a few weeks before (could have been less), so I wonder if he was using it to mask any noise that might have been going on inside the house?

I still think that white thing that was in a bag outside (there are pics here somewhere) in the backyard was a chainsaw. Is there a way to find the side by side pictures that were posted?

That's a good question that I wish I knew the answer. However, I just don't think they would have left that place unsecured with blood on the walls and ceilings. I tend to believe they (EB and AB) tried to clean it up so it was not seen by the naked eye until they started tearing things apart. Mooo

I'm wondering if they removed the tub and drainpipe at some point. Does anyone know if that was done?

It sickens me to imagine this, but I remember a Criminal Minds episode where the killer dismembered the victim's body in a bathtub.

Hmmm...maybe Zahra was tied to her bed? EB seems so sadistic that I wouldn't put it past her to tie this angel to the bed so she could beat her whenever she wanted.

EB didn't need to tie Zahra anywhere - all she had to do was take her leg away from her.

Good thoughts, however I can't see Zahra painting the entire room. I'd imagine standing for an extended period of time would be very uncomfortable and no way could she have gotten on a ladder to get up to the high spots on the walls. She may have wanted it that color but someone else did the work. MOO
