The first time I looked at the bathroom pics, I wondered why they didn't paint the tiles around the tub. Looking a second time, I see black around the edge of tub where it meets the tile. That makes me think this area too may have been painted black and LE already removed that paint. Which makes sense...I can't really see anyone leaving the bathroom half painted like that.

Ok, to be fair, it was October, I have all kinds of decorations around my house during October that could look like I belong to an occult or worship the devil or something. It's Halloween time and we enjoy the festivities! And, yes, I have a reaper too....

Or... something you would put your TV on top of? :waitasec:

I thought that too for a moment, but looking again, it seems too small for a tv.

See, I thought that too for a moment (that it was too small for a tv), but it looks like it has fold-out drop-style extensions, like a drop leaf table? The one on the left of the pic is out, and the right one is down?

ETA: but on the "computer table" side of things, DH says that the whitish/grayish thing laying on its side there on top of it (under the brown thing if that makes sense) appears to be a computer router for internet. He says there would not likely be information stored on the router that LE could not get from a computer, however.

looks like some sort of panter box or something on top towards the back. I zoomed in but I cannot make out what that is.

Who painted that picture that has a blue sky and clouds that is in the closet?

I finally broke down and cried. Watching JVM with all the parents that lost children, thinking about Zahra and the dismantling of a house...it just gets too much. We do have to notice these crimes going on. We are the ones that have to notice how many children need protecting.

Paint your pink bathroom tiles black for the holidays, did ya Sarx? ;)

All kidding aside, though...I did forget about Halloween. Point taken.

I know, right??? I felt it coming when I first viewed pictures inside the house - I can't call it a home. I have known this moment would come from the moment LE declared it to be a 'homicide investigation'. How many times have we sat here at our computers in desperation over a missing child, only to end up where we are headed with this case? I know how it is going to feel, and I already feel destroyed - yet again. It always feels sad to me that total strangers sit and cry rivers over a child that should have been loved and protected by those blessed to be in their lives.

I did that last night. Reliving Jessie's murder with Mark Lunsford on JVM after reading all day about little Zahra did me in. It would be so easy to turn our backs, but it wouldn't be right.

Misguided, indeed. Were these two so deep into their fantasy that they -- or EB -- pictured her/themselves as the dark ones while little Zahra was the captive princess? Is that the reason for the stark distinction between Zahra's room and the rest of the house?

Bessie - I think this is entirely plausible. Has anyone seen the video of EB/AB's room yet? I'm willing to bet dark as well...

I keep thinking of that "the Dark Child - LOL" pic from one of EB's profiles. I interpreted that in the context of a "the-so-obviously-not-goth-kid that's somehow associated with me and is ruining my dark image - LOL" type of reaction. I dunno. Poor Zahra obviously didn't fit into the image EB was trying to portray, so I can definitely see her try to outcast her in the opposite direction. "Here's a garishly bright pink room, little princess. Since you obviously don't fit in with the rest of us here." JMO

True, but somehow my holiday decorations always look temporary, out of place. The things I saw didn't, despite the "Live, Laugh, Love" wallpaper border which looked to me like someone's idea of a sick joke.

Funny you should say that because the first time I saw the black paint covering the pink tiles in the bathroom I thought, man, EB must have detested those pastel pink tiles. And then I remembered Zahra's room. Made me wonder. Notice how it's not a pastel girly kind of pink...but a dark, loud pink. I don't know who picked out the paint color, but it's a color that just screams "look at me", imo. So I'm gonna say EB did the paint. JMO, of course. But she likes to send great big visual messages, so it makes sense to me.

I did as well, Curious. Watching the first part last night, I couldn't help thinking of those parents there, fighting for justice for the crimes commited against their children and to prevent it from happening to other parents. Then you have these....and I refuse to even call them parents....I just will never be able to get into the mind of anyone who could hurt any child, much less their own.

:( The picture is a Strawberry Shortcake & Friends poster. http://www.wsoctv.com/slideshow/news/25649131/detail.html - it is pic #2 in the slideshow.
