I think they want to do further DNA matching with the remains and bone using cheek swab from bio parents. That was my impression anyway. The sample they had to use for the bone on Christy is based off of something "believed" to have been Z's in the Baker home.

Given the amount of lying and selfserving finger pointing that has gone on - I think LE just wants to make sure no defense atty on earth can dispute that the remains and bone did indeed belong to Z. Just my own thoughts on that.

*personal item from the home belonging to Zahra matched DNA from bone found on Christee Rd.
*remains from Dudley Rd have been sent to a lab- consistent with being from a small child but presently cannot confirm they are from Zahra

*investigators are devastated they could not find Zahra alive

Well I know of one grandmother in another case that wears her dead granddaughter's ashes around her neck yet denies she's dead :furious:

So Zahra is deceased based on the DNA from the bone found last week...not from the remains found this week...but the remains found this week are consistant with her....so it does appear she was indeed dismembered and dumped in at least two locations (three counting her prosthesis).
I can't stop crying.

I know, I think alot of eyes are streaming right now. hugs to you mommy. As to the three counting prosthesis, true, the bone was not found in the exact spot as the prosthetic but I had been considering the bone find and the prosthetic as the same location as they were near one another (ie same search site - Christy) Confusing. I am having trouble keeping track and I have lived on this forum since the story broke.

They have his passport and I'm sure he's under constant surveillance, EB's behind bars, they have time to cross all their t's and dot their i's, as he said, they want to make sure not to hinder the investigation (i.e. Justice for Zahra)

Scott Peterson was also under constant surveillance, and they finally moved in and arrested him when they thought he might be going to Mexico. He had a large amount of cash on him when he was pulled over in traffic and placed in custody.

AB's not going anywhere, I would think.

This just makes me sick, how could a so called father not only let his precious daughter who has fought so hard just to stay alive, let his own wife abuse this child endlessly, there is no way in hell that he did not see that abuse, and then she was killed and it is my personal belief that AB is the one who dismembered her little body, you don't find a prosthetic leg in one area another bone is another area and then a hole with remains in another area and say that the body was even close to being intact...And at this point if for no other reason he should be locked up on felony obstruction of justice for even making the 911 call, if he is able to stay out of jail very long I will really be pizzed.......Sick Sick Sick.

I would agree it would be tough for him to try and flee. I'm wondering what other people think the chances of him committing/attempting to commit suicide are? I am assuming he is under constant surveillance, but at what extent?
