This poor baby went through so much. I was to the point of thinking it couldnt get any worse.
Im confused again now. Does this mean it wasnt Zahras matress they were looking for, and that the matress they took from the house wasnt a new one?

No, this mattress was found at a house in Burke County.


Has nothing to do with the new mattress in Zahra's room and the one disposed of in the landfill of Zahra's.

Semantics, right? =) I'm still reading it that they investigated the claim in mid-October, not necessarily that it happened then. It's always so hard with MSM wording!

Also - I'm not sure how self-serving that would be to EB. I guess anything is better than murder allegations, but... a ten year old under her supervision/care is still her responsibility. I'm leaning towards the idea that EB allowed the rapes to happen for whatever sick reason (fantasy? sick role playing carried over into the real world? Money's less likely, in my opinion. Doubtful these alleged rapists had much to give...) but didn't expect them to kill her. The "we didn't really kill her..." resonates so strongly with me right now. JMO

It might be self-serving if she killed Zahra alone, and now can blame it on two men. Similar, IMO, to the early kidnap explanation.

I believe they already have. I thought this a while back. There had been one, then a bit later another one. I had posted about the first one a while back. Someone said it was the other side of town, so I just didn't go on with it. JMO I could be wrong.

According to the documents, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office investigated a claim that Zahra Baker had been taken to a house in Burke County and raped by two men there in mid-October. According to the search warrants one of the men had a relationship with Elisa Baker.

This is sounding like Rowan Ford's murder if this is true. We all know EB is a LIAR and I'm hoping this is a filthy lie...if not...

I am so angry. I am so sad. I am just speechless.

I think someone else mentioned drugs and that this is sometimes a form of 'payment' -- sexual acts.

Anything that comes out of EB's mouth is a potential lie, the rape may be an attempt to deflect blame on known pedophiles, or it may be that she did allow her revolting acquaintances this kind of access to the child. A few individuals who were moving out of the frame have just moved straight back in with these revelations IMO. I think the docs were released now in an attempt to get some people to talk who have not been, and to give them a strong hint that if they don't then other people who know now will. Either way everyone involved is going down because EB for one cannot keep a secret, and obviously wants to take down as many people with her as she can.

I totally agree - was just looking at it more from EB's reality vs. the real world. I can completely see how she would try to rationalize this. "Well they're the ones who raped and (maybe) killed her. He's the one who dismembered her... etc etc..." as if her obvious part in all of this being the least horrific/graphic somehow makes it more acceptable. I keep going back to the (what I perceive as) the tone of her letter - yeah I did stuff, but what he did was much worse, so why is everyone up MY a**...? I can totally see how this could be self-serving to EB, and legally she may be the least culpable in that sense... I just wanted to point out how being the "least" guilty in a situation like this is only a validation in her little world. To the rest of society, it's still quite horrific!

That was a statement EB made to police. They used this statement as probable cause to obtain a search warrant. Doesn't mean it is or isn't true.

It sounds like it contained "half truths", as we know her remains were dismembered and discarded.

She clearly told them in later meetings where the remains could be found because they found them buried in the woods. JMO
