Does anyone know how cold it has been in the mountainous area they are searching? Has it been cold enough that Kyron's remains would have been preserved, if indeed he was buried on that mountain? I can't imagine anything left in the open being preserved due to animal activity but if he was buried and it's been cold enough, then crucial evidence could have very well been preserved. Right now I am praying for closure for Kyron's parents and for an enormous amount of irrefutable evidence to be found. :praying:

Cadaver dogs only look for one thing.
If they find what LE is hoping they will find, this would bring closure.

Yes you are correct....the cadaver dogs went right over my head. I posted after skimming pg 1 & 2...now that the initial shock has worn off I'm focusing a little better.

I'm still on the fence about whether or not TH had an accomplice. But I feel confident that somehow LE, in addition to cell phone pings, has information that has lead them to this area. TH would not randomly choose an area she was unfamiliar with to do her dirty deed, that would be too risky. So imo either she or someone working with her had knowledge of this particular area. Chas the witness who reportedly saw her turning onto HWY 30, North of Logie Trail, did not say anyone was with her in the vehicle though?

I agree that they are really looking for Kyron and if other evidence if there, so much the better. They don't bring out, and specify, cadaver dogs otherwise. I feel terrible for his family having to see that word in the news...

I wonder if they will make an arrest if they find him out there. Clearly this location means something and ties someone to it.

Praying for his folks today, as they watch this new search along with us, their stomachs in knots. Praying they are surrounding themselves with family and friends right now, just in case.

It looks like they are looking for signs of disturbed earth, maybe? In that photo...

Is that some kind of GPS device that guy is holding, or could it be a cellphone screen? I know it's too much to hope that we could actually SEE the evidence they're collecting on a news photo, but I gotta analyze what I can see!

Ok, answering my own question, of course that square thing isn't evidence, or the guy wouldn't be touching it. Disregard and carry on. :-P

At least 40 rescuers and several search dogs will be a part of the effort. K-9 units were provided by four search organizations.
The sheriff's office Search and Rescue unit was conducting the search "at the request of the Kyron Horman Task Force ... for the purpose of finding" the little boy, it said in a statement.

Yes, you're probably right. That thing the guy's holding is probably a camera.

I assume you are talking about the little rectangular thing the guy squatting is holding.

I can't tell what it is. I wonder if it is something he found and is taking a closer look at. It looks like a little metal frame with a glass insert of some kind.

The guy standing looks like he is holding color printouts of something. Perhaps the search area???
