I think he read the discovery. I am PRAYING that the FBI can pin down that ink! That diary could become a solid NAIL in Casey's coffin!
I noticed that CA had a thin gold ring on Mr.Tall Man, but no wedding rings. See this photo for a prior left hand shot. http://itsamysterytome.wordpress.co...deposed-by-the-states-attorneys-office-today/Originally Posted by logicalgirl
Now that you mention Cindy - when the camera panned over to Baez's side of the courtroom immediately as the hearing ended - Cindy and her friend had skedadled - did anyone see her leave and when?
I noticed that Cindy did not do her usual waiting around at the end to give Baez a hug or whisper in his ear this time. I did not see when she left though.
Her church friend, Donna, was right there by her side today, yuckin it up and talking with Cindy and Jim the media guy.
I noticed that Cindy had some type of ring on her left middle finger ... but no wedding rings on her left hand.
It annoyed me to see Cindy so jovial and in such laughing-talking good spirits today. This was a tea party for her and she was lovin every minute of it.
After the hearing, KB followed the defense out into the hallway. From inside the courtroom you could hear CM yelling John Allen! Get these people away from me. So the rest of the audience goes into the hallway to see what the commotion is all about. KB is asking questions of the defense regarding false statements to the court and CM is bumping her post-bunionectomy-shoe walker with his brief case. He calls her an a$$hole and gets on the elevator. She follows him and a deputy comes between them and indicates that she must get off the elevator.
Sgt Allen and another deputy are sitting in the front row behind the prosecution during the hearing. They wouldn't tell KB what they were there for. After the hearing JB and CM come up to them and talk. I think I heard that they promised to get some papers to them. I heard the word polygraph, but I don't know the context nor do I know who said that. The defense left the building without an escort of any kind. Sgt Allen and his co-worker left with the prosecution.
Doesn't HHJP read all the discovery? I'll bet he does! And the chocolate comment was Baez talking about ICA could have been talking about in her diary, (not necessarily about murdering Caylee) and if that was the right decision or not.
Does anyone have a link so I can watch today's hearing? I was working and missed out. Thanks in advance.

It has never been my experience that judges read all the discovery...
They rule on the pre-trial motions so they review what is necessary to make a ruling, but they don't have the time to review the massive amounts of discovery on all the cases on their dockets.
That said, from what I have read on this thread, it does appear he has reviewed some of it at least.
Those two were classic HHJP putdowns - plus the location choice lecture - you will love those.
Oh yes, the questioning re Dr. Reich's testimony was funny but the blathering by Baez went on and on as he tried to weasel out of it.
JB whined that in the SAO Defense expert depositions that the SAO are trying to put a 'holistic' picture together, to try to tie the different expert testimonies together into understanding the rebuttal / stance the Defense are going to present.
Makes sense right? Sounds like it did not occur to JB before. Doh!
So ... JB wants to use this "unique opportunity" at the conference to get some of his experts in one place and put their heads together and ... things may/likely will change? Hmmmm?
HHJP schools him on picking up the phone and using numbered photos as exhibits to walk through interactively. No need to wait.
I guess JB needs to know about 'telecon' calls, things like Gotomeeting and Webex, wow ... even videoconferencing to bring people together no matter where they are. Isn't that today's reality? You can be in the airport and join a meeting.
I guess JB needs AL back to assist him with Skype?
What bothers me is ... does this imply that JB has NEVER brought these experts together or the collective knowledge to get on the same page and have a complementary story or various rebuttals? Is he just thinking about that now?
-OR-
Is JB realizing they need to come up with something new, something creative, invent something and have his experts buy into that and try to support it with some informed opinion?
Scary!
Yes LDB picked up the tweets that JB had thrown back at her which landed on her table and placed them quietly within arms reach of CM on the defense table.
The lady on CA's right side was her faithful companion - I don't know her name. I know the lady on the left seemed to be an atty because the guards in the courtroom and people in the elevator knew her.Hey Amil! Can you tell us who those girls were sitting next Cindy? And what were your impressions of Cindy during the hearing?
This is the first time I have missed watching a hearing live. I must say, I think I prefer just reading the thread and the updates from all of you wonderful people! My blood pressure didnt go up...I actually laughed out loud a few times. It was enjoyable instead of excrutiating! THANKS TO YOU ALL.
Oh, and regarding the judge asking for the lab number....I know from personal experience in my court that when an attorney reputation gets him to the point that a judge has to call to verify what he has said (i.e., Judge, I'm sorry I missed that hearing this morning I was in another court)....it is very, very bad.

CA appeared to be somber and nervous. She didn't have much facial expression and played with her hands quite a bit.

He said the state had that evidence for 2 1/2 years and waited to test it. That is not true and wasn't corrected by the state. We know BC had it for some time. Evidently something caused the state to go back and get the diary.
HHJP did say he researches all the case law presented in motions and more. He even finds case law his clerks don't find for him. He says he usually knows which case law they are going to refer to before the motions are submitted. So I suspect he is reading the major evidence in this case also.
Although even a good school doesn't necessarily mean much to me. I ask my doctors WHERE in their class they graduated. I'm worried I'll get the guy that went to Harvard and graduated last in his class because he was out partying and driving the porcelain bus too much...
This guy is one of the laziest liars I've ever seen in any profession, period. He doesn't even have enough sense to be embarrassed by his lack of preparation and/or skills, or the fact that it's transparently obvious to everyone else he is such a slacker.
