Because of the audio problems, and my computer acting up, I missed some of the hearing. I did not hear HHJP rule on Kathy Reichs - I know he ruled on Logan, Spitz and Rodriguez, but what was the deadline for Reichs?

Why do I have the sudden urge to take out an ad in the official program for the 2011 annual meeting of the AAFS - warning Logan, Rodriguez and Reichs that JB will be looking for them at the meeting?

JB did not look the least embarrassed today - as CecyB mentioned in one of her posts. He looked more and more angry as the hearing went on as if he could not believe HHJP was not just accepting everything he said and giving him whatever he wanted.

Why did CM keep checking his watch? Did he have a bus to catch?

My first thought when the hearing was over was that "JB STILL doesn't get it!" and I am just astounded at the nonsense he spewed in court today.

I'm a couple of pages behind, so if this has already been posted, I apologize.

The case HHJP was referring to was Florida v. Rolling.... Danny Rolling.

He killed 5 University of Florida students in Gainesville, FL in 1990, as well as 3 others from Shreveport. He eventually pled guilty, but they did choose his penalty phase jury from right there in Gainesville...

I lived in Gainesville during the murders/trial. It was HUGE.

He has since been executed.... good riddance.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danny_Rolling

I think HHJP ws trying to get across to Baez that even Rolling got a fair trial right there in Gainesville where he killed 5 of his victims! Take a hint, Baez!!!!! :banghead:

ETA: I'm not sure why the wiki link is posting like that... it looks right in my preview.... hmmmm
Did I do it wrong?
JBP asked JB if he'd read the Rolling ruling and JB said yes.
The courtroom was waiting for JBP to ask JB what the Rolling ruling said knowing that JB would not be able to answer that question. A missed opportunity to acknowledge JB is lying once again.

After the hearing, KB followed the defense out into the hallway. From inside the courtroom you could hear CM yelling John Allen! Get these people away from me. So the rest of the audience goes into the hallway to see what the commotion is all about. KB is asking questions of the defense regarding false statements to the court and CM is bumping her post-bunionectomy-shoe walker with his brief case. He calls her an a$$hole and gets on the elevator. She follows him and a deputy comes between them and indicates that she must get off the elevator.
Sgt Allen and another deputy are sitting in the front row behind the prosecution during the hearing. They wouldn't tell KB what they were there for. After the hearing JB and CM come up to them and talk. I think I heard that they promised to get some papers to them. I heard the word polygraph, but I don't know the context nor do I know who said that. The defense left the building without an escort of any kind. Sgt Allen and his co-worker left with the prosecution.

Thanks Amil,

On the WESH link..the video was closed but the audio mic was still recording and you could hear Mason speaking up very loudly ...

OK, what about this scenario? JB's expert witnesses that have not filed reports really don't have anything favorable to his case, but he doesn't want to admit that until absolutely necessary? If he pushes it so far that JP disallows these experts to testify, can he use that fact in an appeal? Wouldn't the appeals court ask for the reports at that time to see if it would have made a difference?

I think that was what alot of the conversation was all about. JB just testified in court, to a Judge, on record. IF JB tries to appeal it based upon this, his own words will be used against him.

It seems to me that at least 1 of JB's experts doesn't want to be part of this case. Based upon JB's own words, the expert is avoiding him. If so, changing the date will not solve the problem.

Another words, the Judge uses these little chats to booster his case against appeal.

I also thoroughly enjoyed how, despite Baez being coy about his "unique opportunity" to visit with Reichs, Rodriguez, et al, that JA laid the conference info right out on the table for the Judge, hee hee hee.

JA also did the same thing regarding Dr. Spitz' mysterious illness, which is pretty much public knowledge. Baez acted as if it were CIA classified info. Again, hee hee hee.

JB is the reason why lawyers have "Practices" ...

That's what my DH said when I complained about my previous lawyer.."That's why it's called a Law Practice, honey...."

And who does THAT behavior remind us all of? Oh that's right... his client!

I still stand by one of my earlier assessments. The reason KC has so much faith in JB is she recognizes a fellow sociopath.

So was Baez supposed to take time off to meet Kathy Reichs?

Dr. Logan & Dr. Rodriguez too at the Forensic show in Chicago on 2/21/11.

  • #575
I was embarrassed for him, maybe a little, at first. But, after almost 3 years of his charades, I just get angry anymore. He keeps saying to the court that this case is different, but it is not. It is only different to him. To the rest of us, it is yet another mother who murdered her child. Justice must be served, not circumvented. Moo.

Perhaps i am more embarrassed for the Law Profession LOL You are spot on that this case is different to Baez. It very well may be a career ender as well :maddening:

You know, I just realized that when Casey sees Baez and HHJP, I wonder if she pictures herself and her father? Wow, talk about birds of a feather...

JB fancies himself the world traveler doesn't he??

He's willing to reach way down deep into those chewing gum and lint filled pockets to fund his own defense efforts in the name of "truth". Right!!!!

Or..........perhaps he just turns around to ask Jim Lichtenstein for an advance on his allowance.

Still debating which one it is.

Can someone please tell the girl sitting to Cindy's left to stop stroking her hair like KC??

IN Session discussing the new furniture arrangement for the defense table. It is now on the wall.

Wait a minute....
Just now getting to the beginning of this thread so sorry this is late but....

Is the above BBM true? Are you saying the court went to all the trouble of moving the defense table after all their complaining about photographers/ camera men taking pics/video that was too close, and the defense didn't even use it????

Unbelievable!!!!! Obviously they just complain to hear their own voice!:banghead:

LOL smoke signals ....
:lol::lol::lol:

When I went to Bora Bora 3 years ago they had phones, and gasp even computers. Get real. He can contact this expert. And if he can't tough cookies. He should have talked to her before the expert left on vacation. It's not like she couldn't take care of her cat and talk to JB .... ridiculous

Kathy was tweeting from Tahiti for crying out loud....Baez could have contacted her via twitter.

Baez keeps mentioning a word and I know everyone has picked up on it but it is starting to get concerning. That word...

DELAY

Baez has talked about DELAYS now about 5 or 6 times - This is where Baez is going, either that or he is subtly trying to threaten the judge.
