2011.02.10 Defense Accuses Detectives of Destroying Evidence

  • #21
But....isn't this untrue? There were no groceries of any sort in the car, yet they have stated in the motion that there were cheese and meat products accounting for the smell. Isn't this a deliberate attempt to mislead the court? after all they KNOW such items were never found in the trunk, just empty packaging. I don't see how they can assert this when they have evidence exists to the contrary.

Oh, but they have the "great" Dr. Lee stating on NG that there was ham or something like that in the garbage, so yanno it's just gotta be true! *cough, cough* Methinks JB is in a :panic: and this is another straw to grasp. I remember the same thing as you - there was no actual food (NO PIZZA!! :D ) found in that trash.

Geez, I'm getting tired of this BS and I hope HHBP gives him what for and SOON!!

ETA, I've never known liquid laundry detergent to EVER smell badly, even when left in a hot car for weeks in the summertime. I will buy it on sale & tend to keep it in my trunk, lol....t. paper, too (I live alone so no one cares :) . Anyway, IF the lid was loose & IF there was a little bit left in the jug/bottle, it would have evaporated eventually & left a gooey residue, but it wouldn't "stink" - much less smell like a dead body.

You're right, TimesPast. I was thinking maybe it included JB's motion, since it seemed like a large amount of money and the Orders were kind of short. But the rulings were picked up earlier today, I was just late to the party ;)

  • #23
He could deny it just based on lateness, but is more likely to wait and see what the SA says. I still think the defense must have made SOME excuse for lateness...right?

The garbage is not new evidence, how does one preserve the smell of garbage? I can only imagine what the argument is :banghead: :maddening:

So, in the unlikely (imo) event this motion is granted (:floorlaugh:) the State still has the testimony of LE with knowledge of decomp, the tow yard guy, CA's 911 call, the hair with decomp, the coffin flies/adiocphere....... Are they kidding?

from the article and bbm:

"Baez said a bag of trash, containing lunch meat, cheese, frozen dinners and laundry detergent, was removed from Anthony's trunk and not properly stored."

Wow. Just wow.

If I remember correctly, we have seen a table laid out with all of the things that were removed from that garbage bag, that had been in the trunk.

IMO, everything looked like it was empty {and I believe it has even been stated as such}, and, the empty containers also looked "CLEAN" to me.

In my house, everything gets ran under water before it is tossed in the garbage.
Milk jugs, any type of cans, etc.
And, I live in the midwest, so, we don't have to worry so much about the "smells" as one would have to in a hot, tropical location.

But, again, IMO, those items looked clean to me.
But hey, let em try I guess. They don't have anything else to do but try and try again.

This is what was in the trash bag, no wonder Dr.Lee isn't going to be backing up his own statement...just a piece of old dried up pizza...Oh wait maybe it's ham and cheese..:loser:

I knew this "sniffer stuff" would be JB's undoing! :floorlaugh:

  • #27
Yes, i've seen those pics a long time ago & also agree that Dr. Lee isn't going to help this defense (since they won't pay him his "pro bono" fee - crate of oranges be damned!)...

A snippet taken from this article says:

Baez said a bag of trash, containing lunch meat, cheese, frozen dinners and laundry detergent, was removed from Anthony's trunk and not properly stored. ...The motion claims that detectives intentionally destroyed the smell of the garbage by allowing the trash to air out in a dry room and then storing it in an unsealed cardboard box.

Lunch meat, cheese and frozen dinner CONTANERS! (but no actual meat, cheese or dinners themselves, oh... a technicality I guess...) This is truly henious. How do you spell that? Haneious. Hanus. Henus. Friggin' sicking. That Casey would authorize her lawyers to say that her dear murdered child's decomposing body in her trunk wasn't really a bad smell after all, because the State's Attorney didn't store the cardboard box in a nice enough area ?!?!?!?

GIVE ME A FREAKING BREAK ALREADY? Oh my GOD I"m so sick of being nice about this....

I counter the lunch meat cheese and frozen dinner with....
2 different cadaver dogs from 2 different counties alerted to decomposition in the trunk and in the Anthony backyard...

I asked about this in another thread earlier. I can't find the actual depo, though, and don't know who this guy is (other than what the article says). Have been wondering if he's going to be useful...crossing fingers!

Heinous LOL!! I read How do you spell that as smell that. ITA

My friend moved into a house where someone had died and decomposed on the dining room floor. They had to remove dry wall, all the parquet flooring and bring in some decomp experts before the place could be rented. Anyway, everytime it got really humid his house reaked of death, even years after the fact.

I have to laugh at this motion really. I'd be willing to bet the garbage was processed exactly as established protocols dictate it should be. If the defense had their way it would be what? Sealed in another plastic bag and made airtight? Seal it in an airtight container to preserve the smell?? I wonder if the smell of the garbage bag could be preserved right up until KC's final appeal because I'm pretty sure the trunk will reak all on it's own.

Is there lots of humidity in Florida in May and June? That's the magic ticket. Poor jurors!!

I would bet TL's apartment at Sutton Place had an in sink garbage disposer and they used it to dispose of food waste...

I have have not lived in a home or apartment in Florida that did not have a garbage disposer in the sink.

Now since this motion is worded in a fashion which may lead one (in this case JBP) to believe there was food in the garbage bag I must ask the following and if someone can point the way..well that would ge grand..!

I see the Oscar Mayer plastic see thru packaging but where's the lunch meat?

I see the Frozen dinner box but where's the dinner?

I see the crumbled Velveeta packaging...so Who ate the Cheese? Because I don't see it.

I see the torn Pizza cardboard box..Where's the Pizza?
