2011.02.18 Depo: Tony Lazzarro - depo linked on pg. 5

Could it be both TL and AH were telling Baez, as Casey's attorney, what they thought he wanted to hear (to defend her?) I am amazed by this as well.

But in reality, their testimony hurts the Defense, imo. They both testified about her behavior during that 31 days. Amy said the only change she noted was that Casey ' partied more' than before. That cannot be good considering her child was missing, kidnapped or dead during that time and she knew it.

And Tony said what a great girlfriend she was. Again, not realy helpful to the defense imo.

I don't remember anything about a "dream," I thought he originally stated that she woke up with a start, hyperventilating and in a sweat ( which is a very real physiological response to a type of trauma)

I laid out a timeline including the dreams and Tony in this thread:

[ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104419"]Glimpses into Casey's Frame of Mind During Solitude *REVISITED* - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community[/ame]

I think it helps to see it all in perspective with other events. Links and page numbers are provided...

I thought somewhere along the way we heard that the "dream" was supposedly about the two of them. Probably just another example of misinformation being spun into carp.

I understood that at one time, Tony L said ICA told him she had had a bad dream...

At about the 2:20 mark on this video is where TL speaks about how ICA would wake up in cold sweats after having nightmares. This was after July 5th and he says it happened maybe 2-4 times.

I thought he originally stated to LE that he woke up and ICA was watching a video of Caylee on her laptop and crying.......did I dream that? I think we assumed it was the one of Caylee at the nursing home reading the book.

I remember it that way as well.....

I had a son who went to Full Sail ( a joke of a "college" btw) 2years before Tony. Same thing happened to him...struggling artist/student who was taken in by a young woman in his apt. complex who took such good care of him. At the time, I was grateful that he had a female touch in his life. There but for the grace of God....go I...
(Reminds me of the earlier scenes in Officer and A Gentlemen where the young ladies got themselves ready to go to the dance to meet the new, incoming class of officer candidates.)
Poor, unsuspecting Tony

With all due respect, I don't feel sorry for him. He wanted only one thing from Casey and was getting it on a regular basis. He didn't care about anything but that, and even now, seems to care more about covering his own butt than doing the right thing like Amy Huinzega. I understand this case has affected him, but this wasn't some one night stand in the past, this was his girlfriend killing a child and using him as a excuse for it. I hope he's better on the stand at trial than he has been in these depos. He just seems to want to have nothing to do with this case and doesn't seem to care that a child was murdered by this woman he keeps calling a good mother and good girlfriend. If she was so good, she wouldn't have killed her own child! I don't know, maybe it was the way the defense was questioning him, but this whole deposition just made me so angry at Tony.

If TL is called to the stand, I hope the camera will be on ICA while he isions on the stand. Can you imagine her reactions and faces she would be making?

IIRC, Tony did say in his LE interview that he remembered it being in reference to their relationship-He is not remembering as clearly now as he probably did then, some answers have changed a bit.

Amy had an answer that was a bit different, too, and I was biting my nails wondering if the defense was gonna give her a hard time about it: She said that, during their car ride, CA talked about an awful smell in the trunk and that she and GA thought it might be KC or Caylee. Previously, AH said that CA did not allude to death, she just said the trunk smelled like sh...poop.

Reading some old transcripts of police interviews with TL. Here are some quotes from back then, as opposed to what he said in this depo.

Here's what he said about how many times he ever saw Caylee:
Q. Okay so until yesterday um…how many times would you say that you saw her daughter?
A. Three times total maybe, I would think I a first time she brought her over had to be sometime late
May when we first started hanging like you know we first started just like randomly hanging out. I
remember she brought her over um…another time I think…it was for like uh I don’t know maybe an hour
and the third time it was when we I think went down to the pool (inaudible) the June 2nd…

here's what he said about KC and her dad in his first interview with LEO:

A. Oh oh the thing why she started staying here I guess, uh she said all right, this is what she told me
with her parents, her parents are having some kind of…huge dispute like um she was telling me about
how she hates her father…
Q. Um huh (affirmative)
A. And how her father was cheating and has been cheating on…her mom and like her mom uh always is
like I guess is not listening to what Casey is telling to her, I guess to leave him.

AND here is what he said about her waking up in cold sweats:

EE: You understood that. Okay, cool. Alright, the other high points that I want to get real quick before
we get into the calendar is you stated after you came back from New York, and we will get that from you
what date that was, you say that uh, Casey…
AL: Yes.
EE: …was waking up in cold sweats during the middle of the night. Can you tell me about that?
AL: Yes, uh, (sound of cellular phone ringing in background). Sorry, that’s my father. I’ll just ignore that
real quick. Uhm, yes, she uh, would wake up and, or wake me either in the middle of the night, or I
would just wake up in the middle of the night and see that she was sweaty in bed. And I would ask her
uh, why and she said that she would have nightmare…she was having a nightmare or something and
then would bring up the nightmare pertaining to our relationship.
. . .
AL: Uh, actually she would actually be, I would say that happened a couple of times.
EE: Okay.
AL: I would say maybe two, maybe four times.
EE: Two to four times?
AL: Yes.

I was just going to say, TonyL didn't spend much time with Caylee and ICA..he only saw Caylee a few times and the last was June 2, 2008 when they went in the pool...

It's so easy to fool someone into thinking they are a good parent...yet, no one knows how ICA treated Caylee behind closed doors..ICA's frame of mind changed towards Caylee when CA wouldn't babysit for ICA to just go carousing about....she wanted her to be more attentive to Caylee..so CA saw something that others didn't...ICA doesn't fool everyone...I think she started to resent Caylee just as she resented her own mother...she saw Caylee as a burden, especially after that I'd want sons and not daughters comment...but ICA made the ultimate decision to do what's alleged...she just had a push with that altercation on June 15, 2008 which CA adamantly denies...JMHO

Justice for Caylee

I read both TL and AH depositons. Did anyone notice that when she is talking to TL, her father is one that abuses her and when is with AH it is her mom? I thought that was really strange and I haven't seen anyone else mention this. IMO

So he only saw Caylee a handful of times?

Casey knows how to manipulate men and women to gain sympathy. She probably threw out the "abuse card" whenever her ego needed an extra boost of attention. As weird and creepy as George and Lee are, I don't believe Casey was ever sexually abused by either of them. If anything, I believe Casey was abused emotionally by Cindy. In turn, Casey verbally assaulted them all. They all walk on eggshells around each other. There were "red flags" flying all over that house. As cold as it sounds, I don't really care. Caylee is dead and her mother killed her.

The bottom line on this "abuse" is, Casey is a LIAR!! Plain and simple! The defense can bring in as many witnesses as they can find to tell the jury that Casey told them, "blah, abuse, blah, blah..." but the State will show that nothing Casey said or says can be believed.

So, they waited this long to depose TonE so he couldn't remember enough to sound credible?

I think so. I just finished reading the deposition and I cannot believe how different it is from when the state deposed him!

I know Tony is young, but it does seem to me that it would have been fairly traumatic for him to realize someone he had in his home and slept with would be charged with murdering her child. It would also seem to me that he would remember their time together very vividly and even replay it over in his mind many times. I hope he doesn't sound this vague on the witness stand at trial!

This is really a strange deposition, IMO.

ETA: Just now read your post mentioning this, TotallyObsessed! Sorry for the repeat!

Perhaps then, he went the road of denial? He did tell KC he didn't want Caylee around, iirc.
