BBM. ITA with most of your post. However, I would think if something happened to the person at work your husband was talking about, or God forbid, your husband did something bad or something bad happened shortly after that conversation, it would be etched in your memory. Tony seems to have shrugged this off like it was just a one night stand long ago that he just wants to forget. A child was murdered, by a woman he was sleeping with, who he told that he didn't want girl children. How does he shrug that off and not remember anything?

I do agree with another poster that maybe he sounded this way in the deposition because he didn't want to help the defense. I really hope that's the case, and I sincerely hope that he's a lot better on the stand at trial time. I hope he realizes how serious this situation is and treats it more seriously in court. This isn't a game he can win against the defense, it's a serious situation involving a murdered child.

It was amazing to me how much these friends and acquaintances did not remember. BUT now that I realize they are in their early 20s. TL was 21 - that is younnnnnnnng, and the fact that they smoked grass practically every day (which reduces your memory capabilties to almost nill), then it is understandable.

It's a good thing LE got him when they did because this latest depo is ridiculous. He does not even remember if he put the gas in the tank for KC and he did not. She took it over and LE specificallky asked him that more than once.

It is almost annoying to read because he remembers so little.

I don't think that Casey was all that interested in Tony either. Tony was simply a place to stay for Casey. Which was important to her at that moment because she could not go home. She was already working on Mark Hawkins in California. She was using Tony's jeep to visit another guy... I can't recall his name at this very moment, but she spent a day or two hanging out with him at his parents house.

I do agree with everything you said though. Tony was not serious about Casey. He had no idea what was about to happen and I am sure he tries to rack his brain about details that he simply can't remember. I feel bad for him. I really do. I personally can not wait until this is over for all of these young people and they can continue on with whatever they have planned for their futures.

I believe that was Chris - the guy who had been her friend for sometime, they made an attempt at dating but it didn't work out - IIRC she called him after all this went down (from jail) but he refused the call / charges.

Didn't ToNY tell LE in one depo that ICA gassed the car herself? He didn't smell anything because she told him to stay by his car?

I found it odd that he had such a selective memory during this depo - not recalling anything that put him in a questionable light - but he had a couple moments when he had no trouble remembering what other people did or said.

How did the Lee taping event come about - he doesn't remember - wouldn't that be kind of memorable?

I hope that all ToNY's "I can't remember" is just a matter of not wanting to be helpful to her defense. I guess we'll see shortly...

i'm confused by this depo..
i always got the impression that tony wasn't all that into casey. he made it a point to make sure she knew that the apartment they went to look at was NOT for him and her.. but him and his friends. he also kind of just blew her off and was very rude to her in the IMs they exchanged, he thought it was funny when he made her cry on the phone (he's staying in NY) and all that other kind of stuff.. he didn't want her there when he wasn't home.. he got so mad when she ran up a $60 tab at the bar - that's really not a big bar tab.. did he ever really spend money on her besides cheesecake factory? she was always the one who supported him i thought? she paid at subway, kept his fridge stocked.. and she wasn't even working! it was with stolen money! how did she think she was gonna keep up the front?
what did she think would happen when amy found out about the checks? did she get scared and that's why she started planning what she'd say about caylee (when she said caylee called her from the nanny's) what would she do when her resources ran out? when she couldn't steal off mom and dad anymore?
i think she was gonna off her parents to collect life insurance.. that's what the searches on neck breaking and stuff were for. she knew she couldn't keep this up any longer

but anyway, back to the topic.. so, now why is he going into this depo and acting like they were this really close couple.. GF of the year?
i think he just put up with her because she cooked and cleaned.. and most of the reason why she got rid of caylee was for tony.. not her parents.

Interesting! You make a good point here. I sorta see the answer to your question in your narrative. TL was a starving student....ICA was providing ALL his basic needs.....IMO......sex and food.......she WAS an AMAZING girlfriend for these two reasons....AND.......he "thought" she had her @hit together....raising her daughter, well, with a nanny raising her daughter, this awesome job where she worked from her laptop.......seeming to need nothing from him.......he saw a slice of ICA, he had a relationship with just a slice of her too. He liked that slice until he was shown the entire cake....now I'm off to get a snack...

Was it Tone or one of his roommates that said...in hindsight...

That Casey liked to take the trash out to the dumpster for them.

(Is she checking on Caylee?)

BBM - Please advise a link to where you obtained this information. I have yet to read that any of the young people involved in this case, ever stated that they smoked grass practically everyday. FYI - Marijuana does NOT reduce your memory capabitlites to almost nill. It does affect your memory during use, and if chronic use, possibly up to a week, but no longer, and NOT long lasting. I am a Marijuana user (legal), and I can tell you without a doubt that my Prescribed medications have worse side effects, short and long term, than Marijuana. I am addicted to my prescibed medications and can not give them up without severe and painful side effects. I can give up the Marijuana easily, no side effects at all, no problem. Sorry for going OT, I just find it insulting for others to make statements as fact, when they are NOT. I would also like to where I missed the info stating that they admitted to smoking pot everday.

As a fellow medicinal user I get your point noseyone ]:therethere:.....however, your 3 posts indicate to me that you are not familiar with the personalities of some of us who have been around longer and understand each others sense of humor and outlooks. No one is trying to attack marijuana....or its legal users. When I smoked recreationally (as opposed to medicinally) I couldn't remember @hit either......20-something college boys probably are not smoking medicinally and Solace was really just making more fun of them than trying to put blame on marijuna....JMHO.....:peace:

TonE related, but slightly OT.
A couple of days ago I (re)watched the undercover video of TonE & Lee's meeting. In one of the tapes Lee is talking to TonE about the detailed receipts that KC started keeping while she was "away." Two things stuck out. One, Lee notes that receipts did not start until a couple of weeks after she left home. At which point she starts keep and list them. And two, he mentioned that 5 checks she listed. Four he was able to attribute to Amy but the fifth was a mystery. It was written to Winn Dixie and he has no idea who the check belonged to. Can someone point me to additional discussions about this or enlighten me as to what may have been sleuthed out. TIA

What really sticks out to me in Tony's depo is the fact that CA did not once ASK IF CAYLEE WAS THERE, OR HAD HE SEEN CAYLEE......I would have torn that apartment apart looking..... This makes me crazy!! This grieving g-ma supposedly has no clue where her precious g-child is, no clue....yet, all she does is scream at him about hoping he has lots of money!! This is no grieving g-ma!! Caylee was the last thing on her mind!!

That's what I thought. Why on Earth is TL talking about her being any kind of good person? She was all over every guy she knew practically. At least she won't be bothered with jury duty since she's a felon now lol.

Kinda adds a weird dimension to the "just get me Tony's number" call from jail. This was a guy she was cheating on and dated for two months. Unbelievable.

BBM Good point, HF. I wonder if she didn't plan on setting up TL somehow. I was reading on Hinky Meter's time line, and noticed that shortly after Casey did her suspicious internet searches (how to make chloroform, neck breaking, household weapons, etc.) she set up an account on Cupid.Com (a dating site?) and was contacted by TL the very next day. Although they didn't meet in person for a week or so later, she stopped accessing Cupid.Com. Since sociopaths use people for their deceptive purposes, I wonder what role, if any, TL, JG, RM and MH might have played in her plan to be rid of Caylee. There was discussion of her possibly seeking JG's DNA when she went to take a shower at his house.

That's another thing that chaps me about the way CA has acted, it is all so weird, she claims to be so worried about Caylee but when she finally finds KC at Tony's she never asked any of them about Caylee......just I hope your rich cuz KC's gonna steal you blind or something like that. She just got a car that smelled like a "Damn Dead Body"...hadn't seen her precious Granddaughter in a month but was having a fit about money. Was she just so used to Caylee being w/random strangers that liked to babysit for free while KC "worked", I mean partied that she was more concerned about the cash than Caylee. I used to feel so bad for Cindy and George but there is something so wrong w/this entire story they are trying to sell the world, it just doesn't make sense....they are hiding something, what Grandparent worries more about money when their baby grandchild that hasn't been seen or heard from in months and they just picked up a car w/that smell....not to mention going back to work then waiting hours to locate the MOTY?!? :banghead: That car isn't the only thing that smells!! Tony's testimony if this comes out in trial is gonna make CA look pretty bad in my opinion.

I still think that the whole family knew she was dead and they buried her under that play house.....fight occured, ICA got mad, came back home, borrowed the shovel to move her little body....I can't get passed the A's looking under that play house (where I feel she was buried to begin with) while looking for a "live" Caylee....give me a break!!.....can't wait to see who went to Home Depot, and what was purchased.......MO

Caylee was not buried under the playhouse. The ground underneath the playhouse had not been disturbed. Some had tried to dig a hole near the house approximately 5" x 12" but they hit a portion of the home foundation/slab and could not go deeper. GA claims they had moved a bush which I imagine is not true because the foundation slab would have been in the way. jmo
