It sounds like they may being doing a CYA because there would not be a need for this at all if SA is the only suspect or they had one piece of evidence that convinced them of his guilt.

They did not do it here when Mark Evonitz was abducting and murdering children from their front porches. He also was stalking one of his friends kids who was 11 at the time. Lucky he never got to her.He did however have her underwear in his new home. I feel he would have went back for her had he not been caught/killed.

The only thing that could make me :thud: more than Clint thinking SA is innocent.... would be if Desiree came out and said she thought Terri was innocent.

Now THAT would truly make me fall off my chair... which would hurt because it's a bar stool.

This surprises me, but at the same time the only thing that has been consistent in this case is the inconsistency... and Billie defending Shawn. So I shouldn't be that surprised I guess.

As I was falling asleep last night, thinking about both this article, and Connie Jones interview, I realized what's happened here.

Connie said that Clint keeps breaking down, going to the yard and crying and crying. She said he broke down like this again yesterday.

I think what's happening is that Clint is grieving for his daughter. He's going through the stages of grief, and his statement that Shawn is innocent reflects that he's entered the grieving stage of denial.

I've seen this in other missing child cases. As it becomes more obvious what happened to the child, parents reach a point where they just can't stand it - who could? - and they react with a complete rejection.

It seems bizarre even sometimes, in face of information available. But that's how the human mind and emotions work in regards to trauma. When we reach overload point, we reject, until such time as we're stronger and can begin to accept what's happened.

Let's all keep Clint in our prayers. I don't think he should be confronted or pushed right now. He needs to work this through in his own way, and his own time.

Looks like the same thing as with TES. LE is not yet ready to give out search areas to the search groups, and is just asking them to stand by until they are.

Personally, I think LE is waiting for more intensive analysis of the cell phone records, which can take quite a while, to more closely pinpoint the most likely areas that Shawn disposed of Hailey's body. The search area, otherwise, is massive, and the chances of finding her body diminish.

I also think when they've got the most likely areas of disposal pinned down, that they'll be calling in TES.

I don't think it's just that he needs to believe right now that Hailey is alive. I think it's that the circumstances of her murder are likely so horrific in who did it as well as what was done to her.
