It's straw clasping. GA says he would do anything to find his granddaughter. It was about Caylee; not thwarting Baez to get to KC. He was desperate to find Caylee and did what any grandparent would have done at that moment: go to the source. Like you said, Not a strong case - it's weak sauce, imo.

Jose is forgetting this is NOT Judge Perry's first rodeo and he should "keep in mind" that it was ASA Belvin Perry who successfully prosecuted Judy Buenoano, she was convicted of Murder received the Death Penalty in 1985 and went to the Electric Chair 1998

Ah yes, but remember - Judy Buenoano didn't have Baez as her defense lawyer.

On cross, I hope LDB gets GA to tell or agree that he (GA) didn't like/trust/ or think that that JB was doing everything in ICA best interest. This might go to combat JB's efforts in showing that GA is being cohersed by LE.

Jose had left orders with (the jail?) and Casey that while he was out of town, doing Geraldo and sailing on the yacht, she was to have NO visits from family. IIRC.

I was scrolling through a transcript of an interview she had after she was brought back into jail in October (http://www.wftv.com/_blank/18862202/detail.html), and it reminded me that she said:

"I have had interest in helping law enforcement from the beginning. Unfortunately my hands were literally tied and I was put in a position where someone's trying to trick a confession out of me.. and that's not going to happen."

Keep in mind, poor Caylee was still "missing" at this point. This is the entire defense- "Oh, they're picking on me". And the whole family is so self centered and the lawyer is so self centered that it all just feeds off each other and they're gonna ride this victim train all the way into the station (or the end of the hallway, as it were.)

Ridiculous.
