What? Baez had to eat crow and in open Court apologize on the record. Nothing simple about it, it must have been humiliating as hell.

I'm not sure about humiliating...but it was sure as heck nauseating!

Whoa, Jose is throwing himself on the mercy of the court - honorable, an officer of the court, passionate about his defense, respect for theSA - a great deal - yowsers - who wrote this script for him. Making it clear sometimes in the magnification of a case - is an ugly reflection of what we do - Baez's obligation to clear up - Baez is doing this in all sincerity - blah blah blah - Ashton accepts his apology.
HHJP now lecturing.

Was it written in red ink? That would explain alot.

I'm grinning like a Cheshire Cat though to hear Baez eating crow in open Court.

That was pretty amusing, but honestly, that is the most eloquent speech I've ever heard from JB. No stammering or mincing words.

I'm sure JBs buddy JVM will gloss over this part tonight. But I'll never know cuz I won't be watching.

Except he still managed to get into the record how wonderful he REALLY is, too......:banghead:

I'm sorry, but watching and listening to Jose give that speech, was so much better than contempt charges. I think we needed this little bit of comedic genius after the past three days!! :floorlaugh:

Yes! I saw that. He was like a silly teenager saying "he, he, wath this" all I have to do is apologize to my "friends" and all is good. This is nonsense. MOO

He will be back to same old same old next court appearance.

What is this drivel Jose seems to be saying? A Jose soliloquy?
A public apology!!
I'm an advocate of the court. I'm a real lawyer.
I'm sorry to Mr. Ashton.
I wish I had been a better friend to him....

I guess JB's consequences were to make that very public and humbling (and humiliating) apology in court in front of the world - saying he was sorry to the judge and the SA for his actions.

It is obvious HHJP's mandate is this trial WILL start on time in May.

I'm quite pleased ICA was present to watch her attorney's performance today.

This apology was all a big joke to him because he got away with what he did. The judge even complimented him on being passiote about defending his client...he is passionate about the publicity of defending this client. I am very mad at the judge right now.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong...but didn't they bring Robin A. from Lowell for her to testify this week? Did I miss it on day 1?

... I posted yesterday that she was no longer listed on the OC jail web sited and the BOP website listed her as "in transit" (back, I assume)

I thought Maya's testimony was the only one rendered moot, but I guess since that happened they didn't need Robin either.

Please correct if wrong...

This is the SAO while listening to the apology......

HAHA JA says "apology accepted and now conditions have been met". I KNEW IT. He had to say I'm sorry for ALL to hear.

This reminds me of when a child gets in trouble in school. I can't wait for all this nonsense to end. It has been way to long for this angel to get the justice she deserves. So sad that all this other nonsense and hoopla goes on. Sad...Sad...Sad.

I may be wrong on this, however I thought they were discussing her testimony today and something was said about her deposition not being taken?

The ON THE RECORD part is a BIG DEAL, yall. Compare it to written in STONE, for all in his profession to see and judge him by.

OH! Jose had to say he was sorry for doing all the stuff he did by not doing his job. Oh...okay.

JB: "Judge, I would never knowingly not follow one of your orders..." (Paraphrased)

What will Jose's excuse be now, the next time it happens. Oh, I am sorry I have been made a bit more bitter by this process: I am sure it will never happen again because Jose wishes he was a better friend to JA.

Okay.
