Yes, but they don't have to tell us anything until it goes to court. They don't owe us anything in a homicide investigation. Their only obligation is to Hailey, the victim.

Lets put ourselves in the shoes of someone that would be guilty of the disappearance of Hailey,

Now if I were said such person and I heard this I would be kind of scared...
My mind would think, They no longer believe she is alive, they know she is dead, they most know more, maybe they know I did it...

Then the part about the reward being for anyone who can anonymously give them information to find her body...
If I were Guilty I would be freaking out!!!

So, this maybe what they are trying to do...
