Well, I differ. Here's how I handle it:
--I will not write any sort of letter for anyone who works for me to get them out of jury duty;
--I will pay them while on jury duty;
--I, myself, always report for jury duty when called, ready and willing to serve. Although defense attorneys don't ever want me. But I'll keep going.
That's how important it is to me, because again if I ever end up at the defendant's table I want people like me on the jury. If I refuse to serve myself that would make me one hell of a hypocrite, don't you think?
