Speaking of how huge this case was from the start. Anyone remember the camera in the tree, and Cindy came outside and shook the tree? Good times.

Was this on the Check Fraud charges? I remember JB's criticism of this.
Yes I think it was. There was so much that went on in those first 6 months. It became the "story of the day". The actions and antics of the A's - the bounty hunter and his entourage that "came to the rescue". The searches. The Grand Jury with GA and MN. The return of a true bill and the strange "capture" of ICA on the interstate under an overpass.....

And of course, THE LIES, THE LIES, THE LIES.......

What are you guys watching jury selection on? I just bring her utube videos and it seems hard to get good versions. Also, it seems like they are numbered out of sequence.

Exclusive: Casey Anthony attorneys hint at shocker in defense

The defense team hasn't even hinted about what story they will tell. But they told me we're in for quite a surprise.

"We suspect there will be some jaw-dropping," said defense attorney Cheney Mason. "We'll have to wait and see."

Casey's lawyers claimed three years of questions could be answered in three minutes at trial. It might shock the public.

Love this line from the article: "The court of public opinion is the most uneducated court in the whole country," said lead defense attorney Jose Baez.

This, from a man who is incapable of stringing together a coherent sentence.

Wftv.com has great coverage :)

Yes! Omg. And how about the red shirt guy and the guy with the lawn chair that George threw. He called him "dude" or "little dude". Can't remember which.

But now it is apparently going to take them three minutes to get us to that Ahh Moment. Didn't JB used to say it would happen in the first minute? :innocent:

Probably because they are going to add lots of details.. Kind of like Casey does to make her lies more believeable... like adding middle names, all the characters in her stories have three names... Just because it is longer does not make it credible..

Oh UK - no. This was when this hit the national news and the words "31 Days" were uttered by media for the first time - I think I saw it on CNN, and every hair on my neck stood up...

And like thousands of others, I ran my computer and googled it. Took me a week to find this place. It was MOMENTOUS. After Susan Smith (which really knocked my heart out) Andrea Yeats (which was the saddest thing I had ever seen) and then this. My reaction was purely visceral. And I think that's what resonated with many many people, and why this thing "went viral" the way it did.

Although, having briefly looked at the case law on this matter the principle behind not shackling the Defendant include embarrasment to the Defendant, dignity and decorum of the court process, communicate with counsel and (I would imagine) take an active part in one's own defense.

Preparing the case and communication may neccesitate speaking afterwards to attorneys and briefly taking notes after the hearing. It is also embarassing for the Defendant to be hauled out immediately as if though she cannot be trusted to momentarily speak to the Attorneys.

All MO but I appreciate we will continue to differ on this.

However, I suspect a lot of people just want to see ICA have a hard a time as possible. A sort of pre-judgement punishment. Whilst, I understand the reasoning behind this (the State's worse allegations against her - or their worst theory - is/are quite atrocious) the desired punishment, discomfort, pain, embarasment, anxiety and whatever else you want to see inflicted upon her should rightly wait until (and indeed if) she is convicted.
I personally don't see her looking as if she's been mistreated. But, I have to say there is a time and place for everything...and conferencing with your attorneys in full view of others isn't the smartest thing to do.
A far as what others feel...hard to say...their feelings are their own. I couldn't even begin to speculate. JMHO

Just a reminder that we are NOT TO SLEUTH JURORS.

Nope. Not even a TES-searching, potential witnessing, jury-tainting, OMG-I-really-wanna-know-who-this-juror-is juror.

Not even just a tiny bit of seemingly harmless speculative almost-sleuthing.

JUROR = NO SLEUTHING.

3 minutes?? I doubt the both of them together could last over 2............
:innocent:

Can't hear a thing.

With my speakers turned up to 100% and the video at 100%, I can just barely hear what JB said. But watch the interplay between KC and JB for the next minute or so........it's clearly evident that they're both upset.

Sorry but they are not there to punish her. She has not been convicted. As hard as it may be in a case like this she is entitled to a presumption of innocence. She has lost her liberty merely because of the Charge she is facing and not because she is guilty.

There seems to be little reason why she cannot speak to her Attorneys after Court.

She does not need to be dragged out of court at the first opportunity and treated in a demeaning manner, especially prior to conviction.

You are aware she is a convicted felon, right?

I have felt for a long time that there is just too much strangeness about this whole case for it to just be coincidence, but now I am convinced that something about this whole case is just not right.

There are just too many things that are suspicious, and in watching just the first 2 days of jury selection.

Snipped.

I had a similar opinion. There is got be a massive jigsaw puzzle or two that is missing and it just doesn't make sense.

Kinda remined me of the Bernie Madoff case. even after he admitted to it there was something not quite right. Something missing.

Oh no! Those 50 are gone... the jurors talked to each other in the jury room.. arggh

And CM needs to stop acting like it's a movie "coming attraction"

Well said. And just want to say when the potential juror was leaving, and KB interviewed her, what ever happened to; "I can't speak for them." She certainly was speaking for them in my opinion.

Quick tip to make the family think you did something BESIDES watch this... buy Mr. Clean with fabreze, mix with water in spray bottle. Right before family comes home turn on hot water, spray cleaner into sink. House will smell like you've been cleaning all day!! LOL

Here's another housekeeping hint: dab a little furniture polish behind your ears and you'll smell tired.

But if they can't get a jury in this county, that will be even bigger news, with more attention and possibly make it harder to get one in the next county, especially if there is a lot of media attention played to the discussions the dismissed panel had amongst themselves.
