Before I heard about the bounced checks I found this lady odd. I was actually thinking her and Casey would get on very well together, could be BFs. I don't know what made me think that and I am not saying this lady is capable of the things Casey is capable of but she seems to have a few similar personality traits that Casey has. JMO

O/T I have to go. If 'Beach sees me post one more time while I'm supposed to be packing/getting on the road, I have a feeling she'll come out of the woodwork and get on to me :snicker:. I'm supposed to be headed her way tonight

It's sunny on the west coast of Florida, at least where I am about 45 minutes south of Clearwater.

I am betting it was the monthly Tornado Siren Testing
ours are tested once a month at 12noon, and it must be a sunny,clear day.

I have lived in Fort Myers for 28 years and have never been to Pine Island. Strange. I might have to check it out now.

My husband has been to Orlando-area a good dozen times to visit his parents since 2008...yet he has only heard about this case here, from me and occassional reruns of NG on weekends when he changes channels...

As far as I know there are no hurricane sirens unless it is something new. I lived in FL over 20 years and there were none then. People have days to prepare for a hurricane and sometimes only seconds to prepare for a tornado.

Florida does not have hurricane sirens - we have lots of time to prep for hurricanes
