AF: Horse and cart. The law requires us to do this. If you come back with lesser or not guilty which is what defense wants there will be no penalty phase. Understand?

yes

AF: anything about the nature of the charges that would keep you from?

no

AF: LWOP, anythink keep you from that?

no

AF: if the state put keep the dp or get rid of it how would you vote?

I don't know to be honest.

AF: part of any group that don't like the dp?

no

AF: talk to a minister about it?

no

AF: Can you put aside your experiences?

yes

AF: Outside influences should have no influence on how you decide. you agree?

I agree

AF: in agg and mit. agg are those that might cause a juror to think death is app. could you follow that law?

yes

AF: age back ground or charactor...LWOP is appropriate is what a juror...can you follow?

yes

AF: I am getting froggy in the throat. The law says only one and that is LWOP can you follow that law?

yes

AF: even if you find the agg outweighs the mit you can still return LWOP. Can you follow?

yes

AF: dp vs LWOP do you know what that means?

yes

AF: is there anything you can think of in your background or experience that would keep you from being fair and impartal?

no

MG: a few questions for you. yesterday, your questionaire. Widower?

yes

MG: when did your husband die?

he was in jail. I haven't been with him for years. Drugs. Had not divorced.

MG: when did he go to jail?

he was there for six years.

MG: when did you get married?

14 years

MG: 1995

Married to him for 14, he was gone for 6 years while we were married and two before that.

MG: anything about his issue that leads you to believe he was treated unfairly?

Obviously he did the crime, I mean it was drugs. (yeah, I stand by that I don't really like this person as a juror for this case)

MG: how long have you lived her?

17 years.

MG: why move to fl?

with my parents.

MG: they lived here?

I moved from michigan and then my parents moved here and I live with them.

MG: education?

11th

MG: work?

a car dealership, a finance co and home depot.

MG: your questionaire. you or family in LE? you said no,

that is correct. no witness to a crime.

MG: are you or a family member ever been a victim?

no

MG: who was accused of a crime?

I was for bounced checks, quite a few years ago.

side bar.

IMHO: excuse her.

It's sunny on the west coast of Florida, at least where I am about 45 minutes south of Clearwater.

I don't care for this juror. She is not straight talking. Doesn't seem to understand. Seems to have been involved on the wrong side of the law and had a druggy husband she never divorced. I think she may favor the defense. I hope the State strikes her.

This P/J reminds me of Tracy M. but without the nervous laughter.

Here in Indiana we test the tornado sirens every Friday at 11:00

Husband in prison for most of their marriage. Died in prison last year.

  • #1,518
she's been accused of bounced checks.

Yikes.

Oh isn't she right up Casey's alley?

And by the way, hurricane season starts June 1st. Maybe they're testing the sirens in preparation for that? Here in Oklahoma, they test the tornado sirens every Saturday at noon.

God, please, don't let a hurricane disrupt this trial!

I'm thinking this PJ must have been the one LDB brought up yesterday...I think she found the bad check charges and wanted to dismiss her.
