School board here in Kentucky pays the employees for jury duty.

True, but we do still have a small part of society that believes MEN can't take care of their own children without it being thought of as a "hardship". :waitasec: Most of the men that I know are perfectly capable of parenting their children while Mom is away.

I tend to agree with young men of today..BOY we momma's did a great job didnt we, nuturing and teaching young men to become responsible poppa's...Course a generation ago, men went out and worked..and didnt take childcare as a responsibility (course I am talking my age bracket-retirement age) My father would never be able to look after babies nor toddlers long periods..tho did enjoy short periods of bondings..He was a super Gand-poppy to his grand babies...and they all miss him dearly!!

Men of today look at childcare in 2 ways.."Baby Sitting" or "Parenting"..We as a society are turning the corner indeed!!:great:

Juror #3335: Male. Hardship- Works at a small business (automotive repair). Won't pay. Would lose his home, etc.

Excused for cause- financial hardship. No objections.

hardship - auto repair business wouldn't be paid, would lose home

This happens when the rain interferes. Some thunderstorms passing over Orlando.

Pinnellas County must be full of people suffering hardship. I've been called often for jury duty and very few have hardship..wth?

'They' say that most of us are but one to two paychecks away from being homeless. There's a vast difference between serving a couple of days versus two months, IMO.

They are are talking about that now on HLN. Jean C (what ever her last name) is saying yes he is going to do that.

I believe he already did.

I seem to recall - perhaps it was right after lunch - that HHJP came back into court and said that none of the shelter residents were eligible/qualified after all.

Someone let me know if you know otherwise please.

I noticied this Cheney Mason argues much of the time for the potential jurors not be excused. I noticed a few times people were trying to get out of it for religious reasons and he did not want to excuse them.

Yeah, HHJP was really kind of joking. He wouldn't do that. I think he was making a point to JB.

This is one of the things I did manage to catch today, and I didn't think he was joking. I don't see why he couldn't get jurors from wherever he could find them, and that would take care of a lot of the 'can't pay rent/mortgage/bills' hardships they are running into.

This batch isn't as good as the last batch... ah... we've got the rest of the week.

Juror #3168: Male. Hardship- Owns his own small business (plumbing service), wouldn't manage without him. Business is 24/7. It could put his plumbing license at stake.

Excused for cause- financial hardship. No objections.

Housed, three meals a day, money to spend and most likely a 4-star hotel..what's the problem here, if you don't have anyone or any pets to care for?

He could fill in that jury box with Postal Employees....easily.

3168 male

hardship - own own business, plumbing service 24/7 (makes decisions - licensed plumber/dispatcher)

CM: of 13 employees no-one could do it for you (he says a week OK but not 8 weeks too much liability my license is at stake)

excused for cause

Guys I'd give you a count but its going so fast I can't stop long enough to count them up

I can't keep up with this thread; for each page I read, three more are posted.

Wah!
