I haven't heard HHJP tell the jurors to NOT talk about the case to each other. Did I miss that?

Someone had better get that established before we have a repeat of yesterday's fun.

ETA: Or any of the attorneys or their minions in the cafeteria or restrooms!!!!

Can I be on the jury? It's sounds like a free vacation with guided tours and they get to vote "guilty", too. :great:

He did tell them.

I didn't see Monday's scene so think of me as the new juror - those tears/nose wipes were working for me. Made me very sad - but it also made her look guilty considering what was making her cry. I do have to say, it looks like she is going to flat out lose it by the end of this trial - she looks sooooo worn. Where's the *cute, when you hear JB start talking you'll know I'm innocent, pep in her step* girl?!?!

This judge really makes me feel confident in the system itself though - the last big trial I watched was the where to bury Anna Nicole's body fiasco...that judge made me question the whole system big time !

I heart Judge Perry.

HHJP: I have selected a real nice hotel for you. The food is real good. There are activities planned around the area for you. I think you will be pleased with the activities that are planned at you. We will take you to different resturants...

Do they get to go to Disney/Universal? :woohoo:

HHJP: cards, televsion, if you want to swim. Your lunch will be provided for you. Some days you will eat at the court house, some days you will be taken out. Snaks will be provided in your jury room. In just a few moments you will be taken back into the grand jury room. We will talk about the issue of hardship. Jury service is an inconvenience, it is never easy. This country is founded on a document called the declaration of independence, and enshrined in that document was something they felt passionate about and why those colonies separated was the right to jury trial. They wanted fellow citizens to be judged by their peers and not by a king and a king alone...

JP telling about the "perks" of sequestration. Sounds like he's trying to sell a time share. He's so precious. I love him.

Judge Perry to Jurors I have selected a real nice hotel for you the food will be excellent.

Maybe they are going to Disney or Universal?

Boy JBP is making sequestration sounds like a great vacation...nice lodging-everyone gets their own hotel room, laundry included, dining in and out of the hotel, games, escorted/guided tours....

This is a very unhappy DT. They need to recess and duke it out, and come back and act civil.

I asked in the 'sidebar' thread about the 'turning' around when the jury comes in..It's very obvious to me what's going on now..DUH! ..JP's facing the jury pool & so are the DT & SA but once they're gone they'll all turn back towards JP & the 'witness box' for juror questioning..I feel really dumb for even asking the Q..LOL!

May I ask WHY they are no longer facing the judge?
Because they are facing the prospective jury panel. They will face the judge again once the juror numbers are called in one-by-one.

...HHJB citing the Dec of Ind & Constitution speaking to the pool regarding the historical significance of a Jury

Heck, I'd suck it up to be on the jury. Not only cause of my invested interest in this case from day 31, but I love to swim and eat and if I can have my nook with fantasy books approved by the court I could deal with it. I'd miss my dog and DH, (dog first :) ) and shed a ton of tears for Caylee, but I could do it. sigh sigh sigh....

They are all facing the prospective jurors during this time. They will all be facing the bench when the jurors come in one by one for questioning.

ICA's demeanor reminds of of Amy H's deposition. Amy stated ICA acted like a 16 year old who just caught caught doing something wrong when she was in the car with CA.
