I wonder what they would do if a pot. juror answered the question "How would you pay for such & such during this 6-8 weeks?" with "I guess I would just find a friend to steal checks from or hack into my parents or grandparents' bank accounts!!" Now that would be funny!! And I'm pretty sure get you off jury duty too!

Post of the DAY!!!

I love that Judge Perry is putting all these companies on blast! I understand small businesses, but hospitals, airlines, government jobs, etc... have no excuse for not providing pay for jury duties.

Not only is she young and responsible, but she's willing to give up the "fun stuff" she planned to do this summer in order to serve.

Yes, she was off their list the moment she said that.....

Proberly why Casey seems pretty ticked off with that young woman.

Juror #3208: Male. On disability. Working part time. Wouldn't be able to pay rent without income.

Excused for cause: financial hardship. No objections.

Yes, BUT CM, JB and ICA would want this 'understanding' juror...notice I didn't say 'upstanding'.

Can we VOLUNTEER to be on the jury? This is sounding better and better. For me, an extra $30 a day, a nice hotel room all to myself, no cooking, they'll pay for my laundry, transportation, weekends excursions...

Yeah, I can handle that.

it has to be such a super strange thing to sit there doing nothing all day while everyone around you is very busy working on your fate

I like that Juror teacher well spoken. Cm didn't seem to want him.

A student that pays her own bills....NOW THAT IS NOVEL SCIENCE to KC.

Oh Cm DOES NOT want this young woman.

Did she say she had bachelors degree?

Degreed, female, responsible. She is great. But i bet if she makes it through the initial weed out, the DT will use one of their x number of rejections on her.. (forget what they call them, but think both sides get a certain number of rejections/vetoes?)

What's that? A huge retirement community?

Yes. Upper middle class with pension incomes. They might be a better choice than homeless shelters :innocent:

At least the recent people sound alive and literate.
