I wonder though if people who are potential juriors being asked these questions about the detah penalty as if the defense knows they are going to lose are typical in ANY death penalty trial even if the defense is very confident they will win.

Yes, these are typical. That is why AF tries to tell them that it must be done at this point in time, per the law. It's part of the system that some people were questioning, because it does sort of put the idea in a pot. jurors brain that the person is already guilty. Unfortunately, though, there is no other way to do it.

Great...next thing we know JB will say his client files were hacked!!! Just wait for it......that tweet will come back to haunt us all.

Kind of makes you wonder how secure Caylee's autopsy photos were if he isn't smart enough to secure his network.

These are the same <unusual people> who complain about mics picking stuff up in a public courtroom. Genius!

This is the first pot juror that I really like

LDB is good! I live in Pittsburgh and didn't pick up the accent :)

Morning everyone!

Woke up late!

This nurse sounds promising! :)

Why the dog question and why the breed of dog question?

You serious that Caylee's photos were released?

LDB asking about contact with the law. Daughter on probation for something she did. Does not want to talk about it if she has to. Will approach the bench to hear details

Some of these questions....like how one feels about the murder of a child.....should take more than one second to think about. This PJ seems to already know the questions and has her answer ready....lickity split!!

Just playing devil's advocate here...

Given that they've been informed by the court that this case involves the murder of a child (person under the age of 18), they're pretty much forced to think how they feel about it.

Oh my. Daughter is on probation. Not comfortable mentioning why

The DT HAS to ask them DP questions. They need to know what these pj's thinking is on this issue. It may make them sound like they know she is guilty, but if they don't ask these questions, there are incompetent.
How else can they qualify a DP jury?

His Honor has already discussed the fact that these questions are not a presentation of facts in the case. If they are truly good jurors, they have to disregard all of this once the trial starts. jmo and all that jazz

Why the sidebar? because her daughter is on probation?

Writing a lot again and looks PO'd.

Rest assured, whatever her daughter may have done, it was nothing compared to what George and Cindy's daughter did.

PJ said that her children lived with her into their 30's, IIRC, (the daughter off and on). IDK, but that concerns me a little given the background of this case.

ICA putting wavy lines through something she had written on her pad and now writing furiously on her yellow pad. Hand wringing begins when she is done. Whispering to her atty. Using yellow sticky on her yellow tablet.

Juror - Also 25 yrs ago approx brother had a trial for armed robbery (in the 80's) & was acquited.
