IIRC it turns out that it was still just an experiment so the DT has no grounds. Does that make sense?

Yup. BUt I thought they knew it was just an experiment when the scheduled the call.

I know JB is a pain, and I love the judge but he does have to be careful not to show his distaste for JB. I think it is ok to dislike him, but a juror could pick up on that and not approve. You never know what jurors will do or think, and we can't assume they will all be longtime Casey-haters.

I am not doubting the judge, but every person on HLN says they have never heard of a jury being seated this way, without having a chance to talk to the other potentials. Beth K. says she has never seen it done this way, says it took 3 weeks to seat jury for Jessica Lunsford's killers. No one is understanding it, that is all I am getting from this.

Long time lurker, first time posting. I have been following since 08 too. These insession/trutv talking heads just aggravate the heck out of me. I am sure Judge Perry knows more about the law than Jean C does. Ugh

:welcome3:

So happy you came out of lurkdom and joined in the conversation!

Whew - heard Baez and thought okay then - cannot make my poor dogs wait more than three hours for their morning wee - so glad if PJ got tossed that the DT had to use a strike. Well played SA!

Welcome, Galerie!

When Jean C shares our opinion, she's almost always considered a more than respectable and knowledgeable source by posters.

She is not respected because her opinion is not consistent, she is on IS during the day with one opinion then on NG in the evening with another. Her NG persona is much more agreeable and knowledgeable with no particular inclination for either side. On IS she is decidedly pro DT, without a doubt, even though most of their predictions on various outcomes have missed the mark by a wide margin.

If you play both sides you must expect to get called on it....JMO
