I just happened to watch those today. Baez sure looked younger and sounded more reasonable on Nancy Grace. Jesse Grund made me cry.

Poor Jesse! He's always been all broken up about Caylee..I don't see how anyone can deny his LOVE for her & it's always made me sick that ICA/Ants/Baez could stoop so low..Trying to pin it on him, of all ppl, reeked of total desperation & anyone following the case then knew it. :banghead:

Baez had a few not-so-bad moments but still came off as the same slimeball to me he's always been.

Thanks, 'Beach. I totally respect that and didn't think about the additional moderating burden until after posting. :)

Thanx for the heads up Beach, we luv and appreciate all you do.

I learned years ago that it's impossible for me to keep up when things are on a roll around here. I can't do it - and I read pretty fast.

So, I had to adjust. It means missing some but it works for me. I don't read the whole thread. Mainly because if I look away for oh, 10 seconds, I will be automatically behind at least 3 pages. God forbid if I have to pee, lol. So I just skip ahead to the last page.

Enough is usually quoted, so that if there is something I want to know about, I click on the quoted post and drill backwards to find the info. I'm constantly opening new tabs. I open new tabs if I want to respond to a post as well. It works for me because I'm used to opening new tabs for everything anyway.

Now if I could just remember to keep my main tabs color coded I'd be in like Flynn.

When I am running way behind and short on time I read the posts that have the most Thanks... I just figure those most be good reads.

Cruised over to the Hinky a few moments ago, and read a really interesting and long comment from one of their posters who was there in the courtroom yesterday.:innocent:

I am not comfortable quoting any or all of her post over here - it doesn't feel fair, but for anyone who wants to read this blow by blow fairly irreverent article from someone who understands who everybody is - go over and have a peek. Well done Marcena!:great:

The post is in Miscellaneous topics on Caylee, the posters name is Marcena, posted this morning at 9:14am. It's long and well worth the read IMO:rocker:

I went over there and tryed to find the post you are reffering to but I got lost... Instead of blaming it on my blonde hair I am going to say it's my age.:banghead:

snipped....
The threads zoom along at an alarming rate so you will see multiple posts about the same thing. And sometimes we go slightly off topic for something that is funny or concerning because we need a relief break. For many of us this is a sacrifice we are making away from own real time lives. Yes, we choose to do it, and worry about what we "should" be doing at the same time. Some of us, like me, work full time at at the same time, and are constantly juggling phones, documents, news feed, blah, blah. I don't think any of us are sitting here because we have nothing better to do.

re BBM - man you are right about that!! LOL! I read along as it's being televised, and then decide to just watch and catch up on the thread at a break/recess, and you guys are already 10 to 15 pages ahead!! LOL!!

I missed the last PJ that many raved about so I checked it out on WFTV..In Part 15 (?) is when I also got to see that 'moment' between ICA & Baez when she came back in from the last recess of the day..The one where he was standing near the table as she tried to get by him..He moved slightly & she breezed right past him..Once in her chair she immediately turned & talked to Miss F completely ignoring him..Is that the 'incident' I saw mentioned here between them or is it another one? TIA!

That was the first big one yesterday. She behaved in a similar way at the end of the day, gesturing at someone and telling AF "You tell him" as JB came back to their table. He spoke and ICA barely acknowledged him or what he said - then the guards lead her out. She breezed right by Mr George without even looking at him and he did the same to her.

They all seem to be walking on eggshells with each other, I cannot imagine the stress of going to trial and putting up with her and her theatrics, almost makes me feel bad for the DT - but not quite... :innocent:

just found this in my email - Gmail Alert for Casey - partial qutoe:

Jurors in the Casey Anthony murder trial will get a day's break before opening arguments begin in Orlando.

That means the first-degree trial definitely will not start on Tuesday, as Circuit Judge Belvin Perry Jr. had envisioned when he began hunting for jurors in Pinellas County last week.

Perry has decided that, once a jury is picked, he will give them a one-day break, court spokeswoman Karen Levey said in an email today. The court has not set a specific day to start the trial, she said.

sooo... it looks like they WILL take a one day break, no matter WHEN they finally have a jury or so says Karen Levey, court spokeswoman!

I was unable to watch/listen at all yesterday, so spent late last evening and this morning reading the threads for morning and afternoon from yesterday.

First, I want to sincerely thank everyone who posted about the jury selection.

Second, I do want to state that the number of extraneous posts is absolutely maddening when you go back in trying to pick up a missed day! Not trying to be rude here AT ALL, but the continuous posts about "there's a big storm at my house now" "it is raining hard at my house now" "I heard we are going to get a big storm here later today" are taking up a whole lot of time and space.

And yes, they can and are being scrolled through.

Was there not an instruction/agreement that the "Trial Thred" would be for trial related info only and the "Side Bar Thread" would be more for the extraneous comments?

I am not referring to "witty comments" . I am referring to "I just got back from T-ball, what's happening?" "I have to go out to the store now - hope I don't miss too much" and "Just took a long nap, what did I miss?" type of things.

Or, during the testimony will mods be doing a "Clean Up" thread? (And I know that has to take FOREVER to go back in and delete all the extraneous stuff.)

Is there any proposed solution for this?

Just wanted to add for those who sometimes cannot watch or read online DURING court appearances.....

The Twitter thread is a TREMENDOUS help for getting a play by play of important details!

I have not been able to catch morning sessions all week, but as soon as I get home, I go straight for the Twitter thread as it is media, etc who are actually in the courtroom sending out constant tweets...

Hope this helps!

Drats. Don't these people understand we are waiting!!!! :pullhair:

a few comments:

1) I am glad they will get a day's break in between... I just got done thoroughly cleaning my house for this week... but another day's break! That is okay with me ((and my family LOL)) ((my family supports me in my watching this case and love hhjp.. especially hubby... they also like to eat so another day off is good LOL))

2)I agree with others who have posted that comments and relevant chat during the trial is needed to a certain extent. That is why I even log into the thread... I am already watching and reporting for others that cannot watch.. if all I could do was give a dry report it would drive me nuts.. I most likely wouldn't even bother if it were a sticky. I would just take notes and post them later. The commraderie is what we all need.. we have all been here waiting 3 years. A little levity is in order at times. MOOOOOOOOO. as the mods said the twitter thread or the retained juror sticky is a great way to get caught up without the extraneous posts.

again moooo

3)I have to say a huge thank you to the mods and websleuths in general. This is the best place to be to see justice served for Caylee. No other place is the same. No other place holds a candle to it... and it is because of our mods and Tricia our owner that hold such high standards.. I thank you again from the bottom of my heart

4)lastly I am ready to get this show on the road and I look forward to sharing it with all of you. It has been a long three years. A sincere thanks to all of those who kept up with all the docudumps and info over the years. My hat is off to all of you posters.

5)now let's get this jury and move on to the crux!!!

I want the SA's to be well rested and in Tip Top condition for the Opening statements.
What should we do in the meantime? Drinking games? :floorlaugh:

"A One-Day Break".

Hmmmmm.......I tend to think that the break is not for the jurors. A break from what?

Perhaps it is more for travel, getting settled in, and final preparations, etc. These people have already been waiting, and if it were me, I would not be wanting a break. I would be saying, "Let's go!". :gavel:

:tyou: nursebeeme, for your post and for your family's servie.

Just want to add, some of us have life issues that can be overwhelming at times and the friendship here, the common cause of remembering Caylee Marie , is often a wonderful panacea.

I hope we can work together to make WS the perfect neighborhood for everyone.

I just posted this article in the news thread. More from the article:

WOFL-Channel 35 legal analyst Diana Tennis predicted that the opening statements won’t start sooner than next Monday, which is May 23. Jury selection is a time-consuming process, Tennis said, and Chief Judge Belvin Perry has little control over how long the attorneys take to question potential jurors.

I don't care how long it takes...I will be here making sure that it eventually does happen...

all these newspeople have thoughts on when it will happen...

it will happen when it happens but I have faith that hhjp will move it along with due haste

thanks for the link :-)

I totally agree with LCoastMom - the DT is walking on eggshells around ICA. I think there will be an explosion at some point soon. I think one of the female attorneys will have a little talk with her and ICA's reaction will not be pretty. I think both JB and CM have had it with her. I think the two females, especially AF thinks she can reason with ICA and it will result in fireworks. We probably will not get to see it, though.

I wonder how many times a day the DT wonders why they are defending this client?
