Honestly, neither side should have to use a strike. Other PJ's have been excused for knowing far less than what this lady knows. Not sure what the judge is playing at here, but this lady should have been excused from the start.

Unless, like someone else said, they are just wasting time while the other juror gets there.

She knows quite a bit of detail and she is leaning towards accident. Would you like to see Casey free at some point during her lifetime? :twocents:

I'm getting the impression that the PJ is for the DP, but only if there is a degree of certainty in the conviction. I don't think she is an activist, but is concerned about false accusation, based on what she experienced in being falsely accused.

Agree that this PJ sounds like a bit of a wild card. Innocence Project versus "I have always believed in the Death Penalty." Gossipy and opinionated versus must be beyond a reasonable doubt. Yep, wild card.

BTW, AF appeared to me to have leaned over and admonished ICA to stop with the incessant note writing/folding/tossing/passing. Consequently, ICA seems to have become noticeably more still and quiet in the past few minutes. Agitation suppressed, haughty pizziness still evident. She simply can't keep it from leaking out. Agree w/fellow posters @ the evil, evil eyes and the apparent medication of the defendant.

Oh, and AF's nose is noticeably red now. Pretty nasty cold.
