Awww. Can't doggie sleep in the house every night? They are sad all by themselves.

That's why I let BOTH my puppies sleep in the bed with me. Of course, I am divorced. Hmmmmmmmm - wonder if that had anything to do with it? :floorlaugh:

just so you know where we're at:

Once the panel of a dozen jurors is sworn in, they are locked in place, and both sides will have to keep that panel for the duration of the six- to eight-week trial in Orlando unless one or more is replaced by an alternate.

We're still at 11 retained jurors. There are 15 remaining in the pool. The state has three peremptory challenges. Defense has one.

1340: first guy up that took forever (7 y/o daughter)
1398: crisis counselor
1019: computer guy with nurse wife
1055: nursing student with the rat terrier
1319: older AA lady had a challenge by state that was denied
1429: long grey haired lady that had a dui
1025: chef with 2 young kids
1007: giggly lady defense challenge denied
3308: He had baseball tickets to see the Milwaukee Brewers, but canceled them because of the jury selection. "I've got a good life. I'd rather not interrupt it," he said.
3015: Female, no hrdshp; no family or financial; medical, needs labwork done once for kidney transplant; HHJP asks about "any" lab and there's no problem; will be pd by work, born in Warren Ohio
3185: Male, Jim (he mentioned his name in court), 53, no hardships, has plane tickets to leave Thursday. Currently unemployed, enjoys photography.

Mel

ETA: WESH analyst Judge Eaton says if the defense runs out of peremptory challenges they can ask for more.

Sorry for being OT but I'm just catching up and notice you all talking about food, my favourite subject.:woohoo:

I want to say that I loved visiting America a couple of years ago, we went to Florida. I asked our waitress in Dennys (our first restaurant in Fl) what grits was and she brought us a sampler. I liked it, not sure I would buy it but it reminded me of a mix of porridge and rice pudding. I loved IHOP, Golden Coral, Chillis etc You guys have amazing eateries, I put on so much weight so I was kinda glad to get back to the UK. Visiting again next year and first stop is IHOP for strawberry cheesecake pancakes YUM! So envious of you all.

You guys are killing me today... I'm not suppose to be laughing (it throws me into coughing fits and I'm off my asthma meds until after my tests tomorrow) I'm here cackling and coughing up a lung. My husband is threatening to take away my iPad if I don't settle down.
