They are saying Baez left the courthouse at lunch time, he did not eat with the DT in the cafeteria..

If he is sick, then he is a wuss IMO. AF was able to manage.

Nothing but a stall tactic. Judge said "Opening statements Monday 9AM."; Baez said "Oh crap, that reminds me, I gotta work on that first minute!! Stall us, Cheney-Dawg!! I'll be back!"

If it is an appeal, is there a reason for the total secrecy? It seems that the DT has never been shy about shouting "not fair" from the rooftops in the past? Why the top secret status?

Darn, we can't even check the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals docket til later this afternoon as they do not update till sometime after 4pm.

This is going to make me into a crazy person.

If this is not a plea deal, which I do not think it is, then this is all CM. I think the DT is getting ready to jump the shark with a new motion. Don't be surprised if they refuse to continue until the Supreme Court weighs in...yeah I think CM has been itching to to get into it about ICA's constitutional rights since he came on board.

I see three possibilities:

1. Baez asked to withdraw from the case.
2. Baez was fired by KC.
3. KC has decided to plea.

They still had jurors waiting to be questioned, and they now have the courtroom reserved through Saturday, so it is not an issue with jury selection. Mason cannot delay it presently by filing a motion or appealing at this time, AFAIK.

I think it is this too, in the morning JB was pi$$ed when the DT motion was denied and I think he is throwing everything he has at the wall to delay this. As soon as JP got an extension for the courtroom facilities and it looked like he had no way out of selecting another juror, I'm sure he filed to delay. He wants to keep this going as long as possible but he is going to pi$$ off everyone in the state of Florida who are financing this circus.
