JB being ill is a cover story if I ever heard one

well, a second motion to recuse a judge is a very, very stiff hurdle (review the threads when Strickland got tossed, lots of extra requirements. I don't think that is it.

If Baez was getting fired (a typical Casey move), then the judge would have put her on the record about it and I don't recall any indication she was in chambers with the judge, the court reporter and the attorneys - but she could have been. It would have had to be before lunch, since the reporting is Baez left and the DT had lunch together in the cafeteria.

My guess is an appeal of some kind and Baez left to draft and/or file.

Him sick, an accident....all seems unlikely.

if you notice, when Perry asks if Mason has discussed "the matter" and Mason says yes, Perry motions his hand as if to say "no, right?" and then he recessed. So my guess is Baez is sick and they cannot continue without him, according to ICA's wishes..

"the matter" that they would have had to discuss with ICA would be if she was comfortable continuing without Baez present.

I ain't buying JB sick either. If he was that sick - how come he could drive himself - alone? IF he was that sick that court could not continue - then why didn't someone drive him home?

I would think they have to discuss everything with ICA. Not that she gets any input on how certain things will happen but they would still have to discuss it with her. KWIM? So I'm not sure how much weight to put on those words.

Agree I believe it is legal-speak. She needs to agree with every decision - that's why the motions say, comes now Casey Anthony...

True, and her crying yesterday when the DT went in behind close doors to discuss about PJ? I'm sure this is connected along with the Investigator that showed up out of nowhere.

I'm curious and we will all find out some way at some time. I'm wondering if JB was told to get your affairs in order because he got caught VIA his investigator with witness tampering.

I'm sorry I don't believe that. AF has been in court how many days and she obviously very sick.

And why would HHJP ask CM if he has spoken with Ms. Anthony and then call recess and not tell the court lead counsel went home sick.

I can't believe all that was cause JB is sick.

I don't think an accident as no one seemed emotional, and I think HJP would have said due to an emergency, or something. All seems to be a legal issue somewhere.
