Don't ya just love Mr. Ashton. He makes me smile.

HLN just was playing the jurror who broke down while descibing the tape around the babys mouth and nose. Everytime they play that I start crying.

I cried this morning when she was on the stand. Her emotions are exactly what I felt when I heard about the duct tape.

I can not believe that the defense has a good excuse for the duct tape. If she was trying to make it look like a kidnapping, there would only be one piece of duct tape... NOT THREE long strips!

should I start a thread that the defense team is not prepared for opening statements?
they sure seemed that way today!

I am shocked at CM who is supposed to have all this experience... that he wanted a menu of the order of witnesses! For real??????

Again, nurse it wasn't an uncommon request for CM to make. However, before asking for the list CM should have been mindful of how nasty and uncooperative the DT has been to the SAs. You only have to read a bit of the depositions to see how CM made some really personal pot shots at Ashton.

In a normal case professional courtesy would have been given and a list witnesses would have been provided in the order they intend to call them to the stand.

CM is right with that many witnesses it will be hard for them to shuffle through everything, even if it's well organized. Typically you schlep all your notebooks that you will only need that day to Court.

It will be interesting to see what our visual is going to be. Wish we could "pick" the screen shot we want to look at when evidence/visuals presented.

IMHO...the State wants to play a tape of Caylee...or put her picture front and center...makes my heart ache just thinking about it.

Jean C is smoki... nevermind. She's just spinning the controversy for airtime.

In what way? I saw no winning. There will be 12 jurors. There will be a few alternates. Judge P was making sure of that, if everyone listened to him.

I must have missed that juror that is heartbreaking. When was this juror? I would like to see it...TIA!

the SA should have NG do their demonstratives....theyd definitely catch the PJ's attention, if they had never seen it before.

Okay, I missed it, so now that we're at the sidebar... can someone tell me how ICA reacted when they brought in this last group of PJs to read the charges? Was it the same boo-hooing routine that only happens when she's feeling sorry for herself? Did she manage to squeeze out a real tear? TIA

opening arguments?
opening lies, more like it.

So is she gonna jump back on the defense now that we are so close to trial??

I did not word my post correctly. I know LKB is NOT really 'working' on the DT now but she seems like she is working undercover for them the way she talks on these shows. She is like a mouthpiece for them. She made my blood boil just a bit just now actually, inferring that the state's case is ALL based upon junk science and nothing more. imoo

IDK, accidentally drowned in the pool, KC freaked and covered it up? Maybe with the help of GA?

Didn't Yuri offer that to KC if she would just "tell the truth?"

So you're saying they tried to cover up an accidental death to make it look like a crime? :waitasec: Now really, who would buy that?

Child neglect made to look like a crime? Maybe. But I still wouldn't buy it simply because I can't imagine a loving parent or grandparent being so cruel and so callous to wrap the baby's face in duct tape and then toss baby into the woods for months on end. There's also the trunk issue. I can't see George allowing the child to be in the trunk knowing decomp would set in. Can't see him allowing the car to go to the towyard with that awful stench. A cop would have known to ditch the car somehow, run it into a swamp, perhaps? Someplace where it wouldn' be found until the whole thing was rusty and stinky from the swamp waters.

No, I'm not buying an accident and coverup with GA's involvement. No way, no how. This is all Casey. I do believe GA and CA, especially CA were in on the coverup later, however. If they did anything to the child's body, it's unforgivable, and to just toss her? That's not what true loving grandparents would do.

I am such a grammar geek. I was like do their demonstratives? Why does the SA need NG to do their demonstrative pronouns? Took a minute to realize you were sooooo not talking about that, LOL!

I believe she was the first at bat today. Very heart wrenching. She sounded like she would be a good jurror for the state till she spoke about that. I don't see how there could of been any dry eyes in there.

Like I said I don't know, they could say anything, but any lesser charge would be acceptable for the DT. (And JB likes to swipe ideas from anywhere he can.)

I don't know, but I do know when the jurors hear 31 days, dead body in car smell, body found at pet cemetery in bags, with duct tape, that is that.

She didn't shed a tear.
