A witness notebook will contain any exhibits that might be used during the witnesses testimony, their deposition testimony and any discovery that might pertain to that witness.

Meanwhile an atty witness binder should also be prepared with all of the above in addition to an "outline" of sorts about important facts, line of questioning or any other material.

If they're organized one should be made for each witness.

Exactly! I am a Paralegal and it is part of my job to prepare these notebooks for trial. I stress that I do not work for a criminal attorney so I have no special knowledge but I would assume it is a similar preparation process.

can somebody summarize the day for me?

If that was beyond them, I'd have thought they would have been carrying a numerical log listing of what is in each file and where it is.

I am having horrific visions of Finnell or Mason jogging to one or both of those little rooms and frantically going through boxes - just making the files an even worse mess, :banghead: - while the witness sits in the box, waiting and we sit here screaming and pounding on our screens....

and having difficulty breathing & EMS being called & delaying even longer . . .

Cannot wait until Opening Statements - :woohoo:

:tyou: everyone. I feel this process might finally be coming to an end. Are there any more questions for these jurors? TIA. I type it but I don't always remember it!

I know we are back at 8:30 tomorrow.

I already ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. All that talk made me want one. :innocent:

(And I had a big glass of :cow: too! )

What's the problem? I can totally see how Kronk could dress in drag, and not only fool everyone into thinking he is a woman, but also be a total 10. It makes perfect sense he would befriend ICA years ago, just on the off chance she might someday bear a child. Then he goes out of his way to make himself so valuable to ICA she uses him as her nanny, and also manages to avoid any and all contact with another person while in costume. Except for the actors he paid to portray his mother, his sister, his children, his sister's children...I wonder what he did with all them to keep from getting outed?

Or maybe the caller was one of those troll people, I just don't know.

:floorlaugh:

Never happen. Way too rugged. And I don't even want to think about makeup on the man, lol.

Common sense would tell the DT they should have been preparing their files from the get-go. The lack of organization of this DT has astounded me since the first hearing. JB was always behind schedule and couldn't be bothered to pick up the discovery from the clerk of court! Now, CM is complaining about his "notebooks". Not very professional, imo. :cow:

My Roy Kronk vibe is like this .... Have you ever had your gut just tell you something ..and you you push it aside .. until the next time something something reminds about it or you drive by a reminder .. then it starts to bug you again.. I HAVE

I seriously would frame these and put them in my den for the next 3 months!

You should sent these to JA. He could keep it in his home den or work office, or both. It's priceless! MOO

Absolutely. Astounded is a good way to describe it. I have always been blown away by the lack of preparation.

at 1330 hhjp brought in 30 new people and read an abbreviated indictment at the suggestion of the defense. After open questioning only 9 or 10 remained from hardship. These were sent home

we got our last member of the 16... 3281 an info systems granny which the defense objected to on cause but it was denied

we now have 16!!! that means we have our 12! (only 4 total strikes left.. )

two additional women were brought in 3178 was against the dp and stricken for cause.. and 3175 was stricken because she thought Casey was guilty

at wrap up/housekeeping the defense team threatened to delay the trial because they didn't know the ORDER in which the state would call their witnesses... HHJP called their bluff..... said there is no menu.. they can call them as they want to in what order they want to. The dt is very unprepared.

hope that helps

Thank you, nursebeeme!!! :blowkiss:

can somebody summarize the day for me?

I have a job finally!! The bad news is that the job is really cutting into my websleuths and case coverage time:-)

I would be fully grateful and would owe one of our fellow websleuths HUGE if they could give a short summary. Was anything said further about JB's little show yesterday? Any more jurors seated? Gee....I don;t even know when the trial starts now. I am NOT complaining about my fabulous job but sure do miss you guys. Thanks in advance for any little summary with the important things. You guys ROCK!

Can I say something about how badly CM slaughtered the name of this county without going into time out? I guess I'll go there if I have to...

It's NOT "Pine-Nellis" it's "Pi-nellas"

Born as raised there! I profer up as my alternative/and those that live in the county.....

pie - nell' - us

Empasis on the nell, same neel pronunciation as in death knell!

death· knell n. 1. A stroke or tolling of a bell, announcing a death; a knell{1}. KC, your bell is awaiting

Kinda interesting that the juror who cried and talked about duct tape being on Caylee's mouth and nose was given the juror number 3131.

Like a little cosmic backhand for the fact that it took 31 days for someone to make a 911 call for this child.

Oh WOW. I never EVEN noticed that until now. Hello KARMA!!!!

Thank you all! :tyou: And particularly Chiquita71- this has been one of our better days! I'm taking a break to play catch-up and will be back later this evening.

Almost there! And God willing, the trial will begin on Monday with opening statements. I get a big shiver just thinking about it. We are almost there!
