Yes, unless if he's not a detail person and is a fly by the seat of your pants type atty. That is not recommended.

I can't see the problem, there is

Mason
Baez
Finnell
Sims
Fryer
Medina
William
Bolin
J Lyons
Those 2 girls they had there the other day that sat to the side
Mystery man with the bald held who sat with ICA one day

So that is a total of 12 people they have had there for jury selection on and off over the last 2 weeks - maybe they should have had some of those people doing preparatory work, the fact they didn't suggests they did not think the trial would start on Monday.

Looking at it seems they out number the State by 3 to 1. lol :)

I am watching the end of the hearing. Boy, the DT is terrified of what exhibits the SA will have for their opening statements. There is so much to choose from! What would the DT have? Pics of ICA with Caylee I suppose, pretending to be a good mom.

She will have her party dress on. She would never wear what they have her in at court! jurors will see that from a mile away! moo

...and if I saw correctly, she mouthed what appeared to be "no"...or "gone" or something to that effect and I couldn't help but think to myself, does she honestly believe SHE is making the decisions??!! I hope the defense is reading here...it doesn't serve their client to be sitting there appearing like this is another day at the office. She had better d*mn well sit and listen to what the witnesses have to say or she can kiss her life away.

I noticed, too, KC is very animated when she talks as if the person she is speaking with is deaf. Her hands and arms are very expressive which tells me it's an act for the camera. What will happen in court? She'll be writing a mile a minute with stories of her version of the testimony given by witnesses, proking and proding her attorneys to look at what I wrote. They are going to have to wind her down before Monday. jmo

:tyou: everyone. I feel this process might finally be coming to an end. Are there any more questions for these jurors? TIA. I type it but I don't always remember it!

I know we are back at 8:30 tomorrow.

I already ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. All that talk made me want one. :innocent:

(And I had a big glass of :cow: too! )

I don't know what it is about this case, but I feel like I have a bottomless pit of a stomach. I finally decided to move to the pooter in the bedroom so the kitchen is farther away. drink/food/drink/food. By summer I won't be able to make it out the front door (shades of EMT's sawing down a wall to get to me).

EGADS. Gotta get labs done in 2 weeks, and I'm skeered! Between my diabetes meds, heart meds, and hormone meds, it doesn't bode well for the weight department, unfortunately.

MOO

She talks at all of them as though they are pieces of chite. She can't help it and they won't be able to coach it out of her. Even her fake "note-taking" is obvious. She looks like children do when they're playing "school". I'm so happy that the jury will be able to watch her right there, in front of them (without having to link up to live streaming)!

I came back on - got caught up on my reading, am feeling pretty fine about our day in court, am looking forward to tomorrow - actually I'm so excited I probably won't sleep and heaven knows I need it - I have bags under my eyes that are down to my kneecaps.

But a great day and I sure am glad someone fitted ICA with a proper new bra!!

With that....:offtobed: - oh oh - :waitasec: - my R/T isn't in Florida  I'm on West Coast time - it is only 6:35 in the early evening - sigh.

Well then - good night anyway - off for a nice long walk - the sun is still shining.! :seeya:

Jury selection is probably the longest exposure ICA's ever had to mostly normal folks, who are up front with their feelings and thoughts, and speak candidly.

Soooo, there were a couple of points today when I actually had the thought what a few prospective jurors were saying, was sinking into ICA, and that she might be showing signs of fleeting remorse.

Okay, somebunny slap me for having that thought!

I would love to see the state begin their opening statement with a slide presentation of Caylee, ending with the video of Caylee singing "You Are My Sunshine" to her grandpa. Then going into their opening statement saying that Caylee is what this trial is all about..........her short life and her murder by her mother.

I'm bringing these from another thread because I wanted to be a brat and prove a point (and not be off topic):

I finally got a chance to watch this video and am totatlly without words.
I can't believe this woman did not even bat an eye when she was told she was sentenced to death. It is just so hard to believe that a human being can be so cold and ruthless.

Where is attentive deputy? She sure didn't get an outfit for court!@!

This is in reference to a video Tulessa provided about a woman sentenced to death today in Florida. We had a debate about whether casey should be allowed to hang around unshackled, standing there with her attorneys, when the court is in recess. We discussed the ability of defendants to be dressed in street clothes and unshackled, in general. I argued that seeing defendants in streets clothes and unshackled is not the norm. I said: "We see the high profile cases with trials that are televised, observed by tons of media, etc. And most of those involve white defendants from middle class backgrounds who have a private defense team. Try walking into a criminal court filled with poor defendants who no one really cares about. They are usually shackled and often kept in their prison garb for trial. Their public defenders don't often fight hard to have allowances made."

Check out what the defendant was wearing in her murder case there in Brevard County Florida: http://www.wftv.com/video/27950745/index.html

Yeah, casey's given a lot of leeway when compared to the rest of the criminal defendants, IMO.

I was just thinking - maybe ALL of the Justice for Caylee group down there should head to the courthouse to help with the victim impact statement. I think that would definitely make an impression!! :great: and bring along ALL those lovely pictures of Caylee!

Yeah, maybe so, but only for herself-- not Caylee, her parents, her grandparents, her brother, her friends, the searchers, LE, HHSS, HHBP, her defense team, that courtroom of people who are revolted by her crime, the jurors themselves that have to digest the horror that is her very own self-- and us, the fellow parents and law abiding citizens of this country... :slap:

How chilling. At the 17.03 mark ICA gets AF's attention, points to something on her paper and mouths 'my mum'. IMO. She is a very, very strange person.
bbm...
i am a nurse and have been for going on 20 years.. I have NEVER seen a person like her... she is beyond strange moo

ita: Gitana, do you think the high profile nature of her case is affording her this luxery of being a "semi free" person?

I think Casey Anthony is completely HIGH and EUPHORIC on her being able to be out of her cell, in normal clothes, and talking with intelligent people daily..

that being said.. it does nothing for her imhoo.. she gives her own self away. I personally have never seen a more evil face... whether she is being judicial barbie or stoic sandy doll.

Rewatching the PJ that knew so much about the case #3175 and watching ICA as said Juror talked about the case and her feeling that she is guilty... I do believe that ICA acts like the PJ is talking about someone else, that ICA truely thinks she is a paralegal for this great defense team. It's kinda eerie.

What is on tap for tomorrow?? I had real work to do in the afternoon and didn't keep up other than to hear the DT whining about not enough time.

HEY DT - INSTEAD OF GETTING ON TV EVERY CHANCE YOU GET - TRY STANDING IN FRONT OF A COPIER FOR A FEW DAYS.

I do love how the DT has about oh, 12 people to the SA's 3, and I guarantee you not a witness notebook has been made. GEEZE. Our copiers are churning nonstop for 2 weeks prior to a trial.

You are so right, camcneishg, I hadn't thought about that in just that context before. I would absolutely be floored if the Anthonys were allowed to speak for Caylee, and during that time only spoke on Casey's behalf. I believe HHJP would step in and tell them to stay on topic, but it is going to be a mockery of this court and poor little Caylee's memory if her grandparents are allowed to use one second of Caylee's time as Casey's time.

I am hoping that great-grandmother, Shirley will step up, and possibly Rick. I don't know if the Grunds would be allowed to do so or Tim Miller or anyone else.
