But they must have expected this...what on earth did they think the state would say? They must have known it would be a day-by-day breakdown of the days leading up to when LE was finally called...I mean, I knew that much...
I think HHJP sensed the jurors NEEDED a break. That was why he called it, IMO.
Judges look out for jurors in a BIG WAY. If he sensed they needed to breathe, he jumped in.
Oh, OK, I must be mistaken then. I thought HHJP gave each side 2 hours for opening statements.PS- No time limit on opening statements, as far as I know...some go on half the day or longer...
