Here is why I don't love it so much, after the drowning scenario (which I predicted in Sep. 2009 I might add, along with hundreds of other I suppose) there is no person who can support most of their theories except Casey Anthony. And interestingly, not one word from Jose about hearing from Casey herself.

It almost sounds like JA and GA have gone over the testimony.

I believe it is SOP to go over testimony with witnesses, on both sides. Before the perp plead out, the DA went over my testimony for his burglary trial.

For those without video access GA seems very calm and has a great demeanor with the prosecution. He is smiling and acting very good. This is the best act that GA has put on so far.

I think I am going to get flamed for saying this but I'll fire away. Some of what Baez said dovetails with known evidence--specifically Casey's reactions both after LE first questioned her and her actions after being incarcerated. If she was indeed abused and coerced into a coverup with George it explains her behavior in the 31 days and after she was in jail.

It will be a long trial and so there is a way to go for both the prosecution and defense. In circumstantial cases, juries seem to pinpoint on concrete pieces of evidence which signify guilt. If the prosecution cannot build those pieces Casey will walk. I don't think they need to consider Baez's opening statement to build their case. But if they try to react to his opening, it could take them off course and she could be exhonerated.

George learned Casey was pregnant after Casey and Cindy sat him down in the living room and told him. He said he was extremely excited, but nervous about how she'd raise her child as a single mother.

I don't think the SA will be addressing many of JB's wild statements. They don't really have to. The have an actual case to prove.

GA again going with the first thought was he was extremely excited about Casey's pregnancy. No way do I believe this was his reaction.

Death and lwop are off the table my friends. The jury will be forced to deal with this matter. We're looking at manslaughter and lying to police...with time served, she's looking at another 5 or so years. OMG!

The question is, will she have a home to go home to?

I read this forum all of time, but I never post. You are not going to like this post, but I felt I had to write it so you could see what the prosecuter may be up against. I have followed the case on here and the media since the beginning. My opinion was that Casey was guilty.

I think that Jose Baez did an excellent job. I thought his defense was brilliant.. What other defense could he present? I know you will all not like this, but I think the prosecuter is going to have a rough time getting a first degree murder conviction at all. I have gone from being sure she was guilty to having a lot of reasonable doubt. I can believe the defense story. Sorry.

He is being very pleasant with Jeff... interesting. Not your typical George.

When all the evidence is presented I have a feeling you will both change your minds.

I think from GA's demeanor, he has been working with the state. Once he found out via voir dire what angle the defense would take, I think he decided to recommit to Caylee.

But might I remind everyone that in hearings and GJ, I cannot remember him telling a lie. He might have in depos and did in media conversations but I never remember him lying on the stand.

Prosecution won't want them at it till tomorrow. Will be nice to end of GA and pros. denying the shenanigans. Then back up in a.m. before JB would be nice.
