IMO ICA looked so pissed because she's starting to realize that she's NOT going to get the jury to hear the abuse claims she wants them to hear. At least not without her getting on the stand.

To me at least, Tony's statements about Casey's abuse actually weaken the defense drowning scenario. What Casey alleged that Lee did is reprehensible, although "copping a feel" from a sister is something at least one of my Cub Scout troop friends also admitted to. But Lee was not there when Casey's first supposedly saw her toddler dead in George's arms. And in my mind at least, if one had been sexually abused by a parent, my "secret" wouldn't be that he had physically disciplined me and my brother had touched my breasts.

I don't think the A's are working with the defense... the shot of Cindy and George at the end (posted on the trial thread) shows them as I have never seen them before: like they have been hit hard and are hurting, badly.

I know George has to put complete faith in Cindy, but I worry will Cindy throw George under the bus to save Casey? Cindy and her attorney sat in Baez's office 6 weeks ago knowing that they were going to accuse George of such.

Could something not have been filed by Mr. Lippman to avoid these allegations from the defense against George?

I am also a SA survivor and ITA with everything in your post. If ICA was seriously molested, she would have moved out of/ran away from her parents home as soon as she was able. Also, she would never had let GA or LA spend any alone time with Caylee. Thanks for sharing, I know it's not easy.

I'm a physical abuse survivor and I moved out when it got bad, but to protect my younger sibling and mother, I moved back home. I was spanked as a child for discipline, but I was abused as a late teen. To me spanking a child doesn't not equate abuse - they are entirely two different things.

My heart breaks for anyone who has had to endure sexual abuse. I can not imagine.

This is so ridiculous that I am disgusted. How can Baez, in good conscience, do this to ICA's parents, and still sleep at night! If he hasn't figured her for a serial liar, then he is mentally handicapped.

Everyone who got smacked on the fanny by their Dad, or switched on the legs by their Mom, raise your hands! (My mom used to make me go out and get the switch!)

And, everyone who "played doctor" with siblings when young, raise your hands!

How many of you were so scarred by these experiences that you went on to murder your first born?

Is this the best Baez can do? He should be disbarred, in my humble opinion.

We don't know that it was spanking. It was testified that it was hitting as a child that Tony thought was in a disciplinary capacity. That could be anything from a slap across the face to slapping her hand to spanking. We just don't know what type of hitting it was.

It's pretty clear why the DT didn't want George and Cindy in the courtroom... dang.

Yep - what ticks me off is they can allow Casey to shake her head as much as she wants to - but they don't want the jury to see CA and GA reacting the same way to her lies.

I'm SO happy the state gave them seats. They have every right to attend. I wish they were less stoic though. I know the jury is watching them closely.

Well, I think it CAN be abusive. In any event, I generally don't agree with hitting kids in any way, even spanking (although any parent can get fed up enough and pop their kids and it won't kill the kid). I was a preschool teacher and controlled 12 little kids without hitting, so I know it can be done!.

But I'll tell ya' what: If any kid needed a good spanking, it was casey!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Her mother never allowed her to be disciplined. She protected casey and enabled her lies, IMO. She taught casey that she was untouchable and she turned out the way she is partly as a result of that.

Poor George has always struck me as a pretty law abiding guy, maybe not too bright but honest when it really counts and I think there were times in casey's life when he had enough of her behavior. So, he may have spanked her a couple of times, or slapped her grabbed her by the arms. So what? I praise him for his restraint! Goodness knows what I would have done had that been my kid.

I think he did the best he could and tried to get around CA's enabling to try and straighten out his daughter, realizing she would go down the wrong path if he didn't. Too bad he wasn't given more free reign over her.

But princess casey resented his attempts to change her behavior so much - because how dare he say "boo" to her! - that now she is able to easily blame him for things he never did. She is [something I cannot say for fear of a TO].

IIRC, ICA had made the sexual abuse claims before...she even said something to Jesse and/or his dad Richard about it..many years ago.

I think she made claims about Lee, never about George.

They will be asking themselves why would he try and cover up an accident and then point the murder finger (which finger on the hand, I don't know) at the very person he was trying to keep from going to jail for the rest of her freakin' life.
If I sent this schlock to my publisher or editor, I would hope they would point out that there was some deep flaws in my plot.

I never saw where it failed. IMHO it was proffered so the SA knew what would be testified to at a later time. Preventing ambush.

Yes, and they totally missed the huge implication in Stutz's answer elicited by JB, when he said Casey didn't want to go out and drink because she didn't want to leave Cayley with Cindy and George. That opened a huge keg of motive, since Casey partied after Cayley was gone. That jumped right into my mind, I hope the jurors' minds caught it.

I thought that too. She got rid of her so she could go out and party, and didn't have to worry about finding anyone to watch her. MOO!

That's what I remember...that most of her accusations were against Lee..she remembered Lee molesting her...accusing George or "remembering the detail" has only been a recent thing...

I don't see how anything TL testify's to about what ICA told him (attempted abuse by brother) holds any ground with the Jury. She also tole him she had a job, had a "nanny", moving into her parents house...amongst other LIES!!!

Technically it wasn't testimony. The DT was trying to "Profer" his depositions and qualify him to testify using heresay of what Casey told him. It failed because she never accused GA of sexually abusing her to Tony.

i do not understand why the state does not want this testimony at this point.

what the jurors have heard is that ICA shared a SECRET with TL.

and the implication was clear, the srcret was going to be "BAD DADDY"

Since its IS NOT, the SA should WANT the testimony in. What am I missing?

IIRC....from reading the interviews/depos....she only mentioned the so called "abuse" twice....in NO details, as such. To Jesse and Tony.....I believe.

I believe she said she had caught LA trying to lift her bra up while she was sleeping and said something like she better NEVER find him doing that again.
She said she didn't remember GA actually "doing" anything...she just had a "feeling" something was wrong....or "could have" happened.

She NEVER made any REAL confessions of either events...and CERTAINLY not EVER the disgusting allegations JB made about the pen*s in her mouth....

Does this mean we will finally get to see GA's GJ testimony? Impeaching him works for the defense. One of the lawers on IS said DT needs to prove GA is a liar since nobody believes Casey as she's a proven liar that's where she gets it from.

Maybe she looks so angry because she lied to Baez about it, and he is beginning to doubt her. Remember how angry she got with Cindy and George when she was in jail and they doubted her?
