thanks so much. it was funny and weird when VP said the TL proffer testimony collaborated sexual abuse: NOT.

Was he watching the same testimony? LOL! He did say Lee "copped a feel", as ICA told him. ICA also told Jesse Grund that Lee tried to have sex with her. No one ever (that I have found/read) ever said anything about GA being accused of abusing ICA sexually. This part of ICA emerged from the infamous jail house letters when she was morphing her identity to mesh with her fellow inmates.

I honestly believe she has told so many lies to so many people, that she can't even remember what she said to who at this point. Complete sociopath, definitely not an SA survivor.

the state needs to address

THE SECRET

the jury heard about, (re. TL)

imo?

agree or not?
I'm not an attorney but I bet right now the State is drawing up some paper to the Judge to argue this right now.

JB makes me giggle alot. The calendar incident when he covered up the month of June with the month of July, then asked GA to write on there when he first told someone about the gas cans. LOL...hello? The report was made in June! :floorlaugh:

hehehe, bet AF is ticked off right about now too...there goes some of her argument

The defense were the ones doing the profer on Tony. They were grasping at straws based on their telephone conversation with him and were hoping he would testify to the fact that ICA told him George sexually abused him. He never said that. They are interpreting his deposition the way they wanted to hear it. Abuse was mentioned and they ran with it, when he meant physical abuse, not sexual. He said it definitely was not sexual, which means he cannot testify to it under the profer rules regarding heresay. The SA would want it, but they are not the ones pressing the issue. In all honesty I don't think they are truly worried about the SA accusation. It does not effect their case and the end result that ICA murdered her daughter.

It will be proper to use during the sentencing phase as a mitigating factor. For now the defense needs to explain her behavior and lies during those 31 days and after. Even given an accidental drowning Casey's demeanor the whole time is going to be hard to buy to put it mildly and they know it. Therefore, they throw in big bad GA making Casey cover up and lie and in fact he has taught her to lie since she was 8 and putting his penis in her mouth.

I have a strong feeling that Casey and Lee were NEVER EVER spanked by George or Cindy.
I do not think Cindy would have ever allowed it. I just get that feeling.

My FIL is a very aggressive man but my MIL NEVER EVER let him touch the children...EVER...and that's in the days when spanking was, I would say, an accepted form of discipline.
Throwing the shoe of course was the right of every Italian mother....LOL

Yeah I'm not saying that I believe her - just saying that TL's actual testimony was hitting - which can mean lot of different things not just spanking. Just wanted to clear that up because people are jumping to the conclusion that it was spanking & I think most people consider spanking to be more benign than hitting. KWIM?

Are you Italian...
My cousins got the spoons as well....and they still told their mamas they loved them and the mamas would blow them a kiss

I remember the wooden spoons vividly....and I am Sicilian.....damn they hurt. I remember my brother and I ...I guess we were about 10 at the time.....hiding them in the basement.....she found them though.

To this day....wooden spoons are not allowed in my home!:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Did anybody see the last gentleman, the one who basically laughed in Cheney's face before getting off the stand? What was his name and where can I find that video. I could watch it over and over and over again.

Matt Crisp, iirc.

I'm really leaning towards JB had someone take his bar exam I mean really JB couldn't grasp what the judge told him that any attorney should know of not able to ask a witness about something until it is submitted as evidence. HELLO rule 1

Rule #2 Don't ask a question that you don't know the answer to!

I'm not a lawyer and I know this.

THE SECRET

I agree...maybe not dwell on it a lot but at least mention that it was NOT a secret about abuse from GA. Quite a few of these jurors are hearing all this stuff for the first time and aren't as seasoned to ICA's manipulations as we all are. I wouldn't want the STATE to leave any doors of potential doubt open.

While it is certain that she grew up with a controlling mother, and dysfunctional home it is no excuse for her behavior. Regardless I do believe that both GA and CA love their children very, very much. ITA when NG said that Caylee was the love of GA's life! I think it also holds true for CA and in my mind it is why also ICA wanted her gone.

She very simply could have given Caylee to G and CA!

I agree, I feel the same way. I think Cindy has always ruled the roost. I have to admit I'm like that, I have a hard time allowing anyone to discipline my son other than myself. I think with George it was more like "wait until I tell your mother about this" The way Casey talked to George I don't think she was ever afraid of him. Now Cindy I can tell she was afraid of.
I think CASEY ruled the roost.

same here
regardless of what the A's have done and said these past 3 years...they don't deserve what Casey is putting them through and will be putting them through during this trial....
I hope Lippman can do something about it

ITA...I really believe he is guiding them through this terrible time now. Thankfully they have him. Maybe through the shock of it all they will come from behind the denial.

Why isnt KC crying and shaking when TL is saying no abuse took place?

  • #195
I'm not an attorney but I bet right now the State is drawing up some paper to the Judge to argue this right now.

I hope so

that was a emotional moment

surely it will be addressed

they cannot just let it hang in the air, unexamined.

can they?

I hate to say it. but JVM was all over this a moment ago.

I hope the judge sees that it's extremely relevant considering the defense is now based on her father being guilty of abuse + covering up Caylee's death. The defense is basically putting GA on trial now, so any evidence the state can present to refute that should be allowed.

Exactly. It could be consider an admission - an admission that she said something different from what is being alleged today. It should come in.

Will we be able to see GA's Grand Jury Testimony?
JA will give JP a copy of it tomorrow for him to read in camera.
I guess that means we can't see it, correct?

Right. We will never read, hear or see GA's GJ testimony.

Speaking of Susan Smith and the similarities in the case (and defense), I WISH the prosecution would ask TL about the conversation where he instructed ICA that if he had kids, he wanted boys and did not want girl children.
THAT needs to be heard by the jury.
Note to Amysmom: See, I knew I would remember...eventually. LOL

I am flabbergasted that they have not and sick about it. They need to establish motive and I for one believe it was a huge part of her motive.

I have a question for all the legal eagles out there. Is it normal to keep calling GA back to the stand?? I don't have much court experience, all I know is from movies & TV and of course, WS. It just seems odd to me. TIA.

To me it is not. Sometimes they may need to be called back to clear something up but generally they testify about everyhting they need to testify to at one time .

i do not understand why the state does not want this testimony at this point.

what the jurors have heard is that ICA shared a SECRET with TL.

and the implication was clear, the srcret was going to be "BAD DADDY"

Since its IS NOT, the SA should WANT the testimony in. What am I missing?

Please?????

Now that they know what TL has to say they might want it in.

IIRC....from reading the interviews/depos....she only mentioned the so called "abuse" twice....in NO details, as such. To Jesse and Tony.....I believe.

I believe she said she had caught LA trying to lift her bra up while she was sleeping and said something like she better NEVER find him doing that again.
She said she didn't remember GA actually "doing" anything...she just had a "feeling" something was wrong....or "could have" happened.

She NEVER made any REAL confessions of either events...and CERTAINLY not EVER the disgusting allegations JB made about the pen*s in her mouth....

She actually only made that statement about GA possibly doing something to her, in jail, via a letter to a fellow inmate, after spending hours with death penalty mitigation experts. IIRC, she never made such allegations to anyone else prior. I could be mistaken but that's what I recall.

Does this mean we will finally get to see GA's GJ testimony? Impeaching him works for the defense. One of the lawers on IS said DT needs to prove GA is a liar since nobody believes Casey as she's a proven liar that's where she gets it from.

We will never hear GA's GJ testimony.

TL proffer did not collaborate sexual abuse by daddy

just the opposite

in terms of ICA telling him

????????????????

why did VP just say it did?

why is the state opposing the testimonY?

anybody?????????

See above.

Whoaaa! The inmate is p*ssed! The entire little plan with Tony's testimony fell to pieces there- what on earth did she bark out at Baez when she passed by, leaving through the door back to her cozy little inmate's quarters?

Must have been a doozy by the look on her face!

Bwahhhhh!

Anyone have a clipy-poo or tapey-poo of this glorious moment? I missed it and REALLY would like to see her rabid. tee hee :innocent:

  • #198
KC is peeved because Tony was not telling the truth, she told JB that she told Tony all about sexual abuse by her dad, and now for some reason Tony is lying and not telling what she told him. This is her version, not mine.
This is IMO.

  • #199
yes, and it's such a scurrilous accusation that ICA, in her devious mind, knows there's a good chance the jury might believe it, since how many men would admit something like that, let alone in front of cameras with millions watching. She's a wicked woman.

I'm praying for George and Cindy; I know they will never recover from this whole thing. It's all so sad.
:therethere:

This Jury was never asked about sex abuse dont ya think they should have been?

Then again it wasnt known that JB would say that about G and L

I was thinking about the look on JP's face when he was talking about the "activites" he has planned for the jurors for this weekend. He looked like a little boy with a big secret. I'm sure he treats them very, very well and probably spends alot of time trying to make sure they are as comfortable as possible. I would love to know at the end of all this mess just what all lengths he did go to for them. I also love the way he says "Tuesday" TOOS-dey. I love him.
