I asked this in the trial thread, but would sure appreciate some clarification...

Does anyone know if the State asked TL in his deposition if he ever told ICA that he did not want girls, only boys?

If they did and they can ask him that in court, that would be HUGE in front of the jury.

IMO this girl is as guilty as sin. But, if the defense keeps on going this way, with JB's bull*****, she could walk. Maybe I am too impatient. JMO

I only joined WS about 16 months ago and did not take part or read on the Caylee forum, as it was too huge and intimidating by then and everyone seemed to be experts on the case. All I knew about the case were the very basics; Caylee was not reported missing, there was a fictional nanny, and Casey was partying, also that her parents were not reacting in a way that seemed "normal" about the whole thing.

Anyway, I am just hearing about the car, the tow yard, the gas cans, etc. along with (we hope) the jurors. I have to say that if George does not come out at some point and say that he was covering for Casey (at the expense of Caylee) all along, I will not understand why he did not call police sooner and for sure, when he got to the tow yard and recognized the smell. I can begin to see how Caylee's death could have been some accident, and covered up in a mish-mash by Casey with help from her father. I don't believe that, but I can see how someone would.

JB being harsh with George would seem okay to me as a juror, since JB "believes" this man molested his client since she was a child, and also helped cover up the child's death, thus "blackmailing" his client into submission. I am talking about if I were a neutral juror who did not want to believe that a mother who loved her child, according to all sources thus far, murdered her on purpose. Also, the simple fact of driving around with Caylee dead in the trunk, if that is what happnened, would make me think there could not have been any sort of plan, as who would do that?

Just an opinion from someone who is learning much of the case as it proceeds.

I'm a little concerned that the jury may find reasonable doubt in GA's actions in regards to driving the car home and his obfuscation about the duct tape.

But maybe he was just frustrated and Baez's badgering and obviously in anguish. I felt bad for him. However, he needs to stop over explaining and just answer the questions.

My opinion...
Except that George is doing what George has always done...at least in every hearing I've seen. I think that's why JA is doing the direct....he has been trying to keep him "brief", but he can't come across as being "short" or "annoyed" with the witness. I believe there were times he has been both.

Do we have WS'ers in the Court who are seeing the Jurors and the interaction with ICA???

Im curious because some folks seem to know what the jurors look like and I obviously cant see them from Canada

Thanks Nurse...and congrats on the bump upstairs!! Hope the basement is dry.

Unless you were George and then it was another tough day for him. I thought Baez was unnecessarily brutal this afternoon. Ugh!

I have to say that in the end, JA did a brilliant job of crushing Baez's line of crap, IMO.

Nurse,

Where I grew up squirrel would be needed for that diet plan. ROFLMAO!

I have thought that since the beginning. ICA lost it after the fight with CA. Caylee just being a typical two year old went into a tantrum and ICA lost her temper. I know this thought goes against the prosecutions theory, but it's what I've felt happened all along.

You know, this makes sense, especially if Caylee was there when the fight took place. Maybe little Cayle did not want to be with KC, she wanted her grandma, and this made KC angry.

I wouldn't worry about anything. I look at the whole case this way - most of the evidence that we have seen, the jury will see. Most of us believe 100% in Casey's guilt based on what we've seen and heard over the past 3 years.

I have no doubt in my mind this jury will convict her.

No they have not. Yet, I hope YET.

Since they have had several opportunities to ask him that and haven't - it is entirely possible they know he may slide on that one and so are leaving it alone.

And it may have something in ICA's mind she made up as an excuse when he was making a joke.

You are correct on both counts. It is puzzling as to why the smell of human decomposition would not alarm him immediately, and take top priority. And he should state a simple "yes" or "no" as in psychological analysis of deceit, "over-explaining" ALWAYS raises red flags, without exception.
I know this must sound really simplistic...but I think George had a real need to go to work. Not sure if anyone remembers how hard that man was trying to make a living back around the time all this happened. His own children made fun of him for being jobless. He probably pulled a Scarlet O'Hara and figured he would worry about it another day.

I've been scarce today, so tell me....

Have you guys met your new mod? :cheer:

Nursebeeme rocked it today! She is going to be a fantastic addtition!

I agree, I don't think the State will see it as relevant. More distracting than anything, it was just a comment. If there is no written contact citing, it may not work well.

Various reporters and those in the audience during jury selection tweeted what the jurors looked like.
