I am not worried about SB not calling the cops.. he said he looked in the car after he smelled the "smell" (says he looked in the windows) also said it was faint because the car was sealed...

just my one cent (I lost my other cent somewhere LOL)

Which means CAYLEE WAS IN THE TRUNK THE NIGHT CASEY AND TONY WENT TO BLOCKBUSTER!! Wonder how Tony feels knowing he rode in a car with Casey while her dead child was in the trunk????
This stuff would mess me up mentally probably forever.

Not necessarily. We don't know when she placed her in her trunk, or when Caylee really truly died. I've always believed the June 16th death was factual, otherwise where was she?! ICA could have placed her anywhere, then back in the trunk, then dumped her... we'll never know because ICA will NEVER tell.

BBM... he did say he smelled human decomp coming from the interior of the car as he peered in the windows to evaluate the state of the car to determine if the wrecking company would title it, and then sell it.

BBM again... Caylee's body was not in the car for a month. From all the testing done, they have determined the levels of gases present indicate she was in the car for 2.6 days.

I am wondering where she left the body prior to placing Caylee in the car. How often did the Anthony's use their freezer in the garage? How big is it? Chest freezer or stand up? Could she have place Caylee in the bottom of the chest freezer in a trash bag and placed food items back ontop? We know she often stole food.

I know we used to have a chest freezer and I HATED it because I would NEVER dig to the bottom to get something.

I agree with you. I've always thought it was to celebrate her future life without Caylee.

I agree too. There really is no way for the DT to give a good explanation for the tattoo. They are trying to claim kc was molested and abused by her father and brother. They are saying Caylee tragically drowned and her father made her cover it up. What part of any of that makes one think of a "beautiful life"? They are saying her reactions are what she learned after her years of abuse. BUT, that doesn't explain why she'd think she suddenly has a beautiful life . . . .

This isn't about the police and what they would have done, or not - it's about the inaction of Mr Birch who smelled human decomp but didn't alert police.

1. The state hasn't finished their questioning yet! We don't know yet that there was any "inaction" on his part.
2. I'm sure the state has already thought of this issue and are ready for it. I have no doubt that Mr. Birch did everything that he was legally obligated to do and the state knows it and will put the premature smackdown on JB before he can even go down this road with his questioning.

Did anyone else see ICA interacting with the jury this morning?? When HHJP was telling the jury about getting to watch the hockey game. HHJP asked, "does anyone want to watch hockey, tonite"? ICA got a big grin and started nodding, yes! Eyes big! Even mouthed that she wants to watch, too. Something was asked about basketball and she wrinkled her nose and shook her head, no. She was looking right at the jury. Was one of them interacting back with her?? That worries me.

Ok this is the kind of thing that she should not be allowed to be doing. She should not even be allowed to look over at them if you ask me. How easy is it to wink at a few guys on the jury and smile at them and smirk and play coy. That's tampering with a jury if you ask me. She also mutters and makes comments as she is leaving the courtroom yesterday Pizzd with TL. I think she needs to be sitting facing AWAY from the jury. I am not the only one noticing this and I dont think its right. Its manipulative. And I suspect she thrives on it.

did anyone notice this morning when the other lawyer was talking about 100 more hours of investigation for the mitigation specialist.. and the reason he gave... that "something else has come up"

wonder what that is?

Just an FYI on Pontiac Sunfires. I had a brand new white Pontiac Sunfire that looked exactly like ICA's (eewww!) back in 1995 after I divorced my first husband. It was a fun little car for a young, newly single, mom of two little boys (3 & 5 at that time!) I was in the process of moving from my home, to my dads, and then to a new apartment. I carried all kinds of things around in the trunk for days at a time and guess what... I could smell EVERYTHING that I placed in the trunk in the passenger compartment whether it was laundry detergent, products from Bath & Body works, food, anything with a smell! The back seat had a split fold, and IMO the odors would seep between the folds. FWIW.

No he wasn't ,his skin had turned to soup and was liquid and pooling on the floor board. I dint think double bagging would have helped all that much as far as the smell goes.

I dint think people are getting a good idea of what a body in the truck of a car would really be like.

Even after two days, but the closest I have seen is Bologna in the package tossed into a trunk for two days. It might give you A small example not even remotely as extreme.

Yes, Soulmagent, Worked as a assistant to a State medical examiner while interning in College....

I think that even if the jury does not believe Simon B smelled human decomp keep in mind we have other testimony coming in about it. GA, Cadaver dogs hitting, VAS testimony, 911 call from CA, ect. All agree smell was there.

And then what? They would have opened the trunk of the car and... no body. Evidence that we have now may have been compromised. The car wasn't reported stolen. There was no missing child report. What were the police going to do?

He said the smell was coming from inside the car... he looked inside the car and didn't see anything. He dismissed it. I know the defense is going to bring it up, but Simon seems confident and I am sure he will explain to a jury why he didn't call police.

Then what? Hopefully the police would trace the ownership of the car to the Anthony family, find out from them that there's a toddler who's been missing, connect the smell to the missing child and start an investigation.

I agree, I think Burch should've made a phone call. Unless the next thing we learn is that he looked at the car and the Anthony's came to pick up the car. Honestly, even then I think he should make the call and let the police follow up with the Anthony's.

I'm still trying to figure out what that kid said the other day that they need to impeach him on......

I can't remember his original testimony all that well but didn't he end up calling LE after GA had picked up the car? Didn't he go back to try to retrieve the garbage bag as well?

I think he is a great witness. He's articulate and experienced enough to convince the jurors regarding what he saw and smelled.
