A little off topic. Kind of subjecting the posts about GA not stating the total truth.
Am I mistaken that when they interviewed Anne Holloway (I think that was her name, correct me if I'm wrong) when she said that it was an 'accident that snowballed out of control" She said that he (GA) threw KC against the wall and yelled 'you murdered her didn't you!?' or something along those lines. And also, didn't she state that it was an accident that KC let snowball out of control? Not GA? When JB did his opening statements, he forgot to mention the fact that AH said KC let the accident snowball. Sorry if I'm wrong about all this and I would appreciate ANY feedback.

Hearsay. I'm sure LE looked into it. George isn't on trial here. Casey is. JMO

Thought the same thing. They are too low, and Caylee looked like she was taller than average.

A thought, maybe CA gave Caylee the chloroform while she was in the car seat then when Caylee was asleep, CA put the car seat with her in it in the trunk on a regular basis. CA wouldn't have left her in the back seat as people would see an unattended child in the car. Could that explain the straps being adjusted too low for her size...wanted her strapped in tight so she couldn't get out in case she woke up in the trunk?

I'm sure this has been asked before so forgive me but will the jurors get to see the car? Smell the car?

  • #744
No, not if they are forward facing. Sorry - going to sneak in a PSA about safe buckling. Please make sure your kids and grandkids are buckled up safely.

Tip 5. Using harness slots

Your child car safety seat's harness straps must be positioned correctly by ensuring they pass through the correct slots.

* Rear-facing child car safety seat harness straps should sit at or below the child's shoulders.
* Forward-facing child car safety seat harness straps should sit at or above the child's shoulders.

I agree. GA says he saw the date that car was towed, but how did he know it was at Amscot for 3 days before being towed. Unless he was confusing himself. Would be interesting to hear his response to that.

Good question, but maybe he went and asked them. IDK

I would love to send a thank you note to Simon for being such a stand-up guy and great witness.

I'm also feeling grateful that GA is being so genuine and I feel sad for him.

No because JB's opening statement was she said Caylee died on June 16th, yet she continued to drive that car all around Orlando to her boyfriends, friends houses, stores, clubs, parties, etc... with her dead babies car seat still in the back seat until she herself ditched the car at Amscot on June 27th. 11 days looking at the car seat? Remembering holding her dead baby in her arms? She kept that car seat there to keep her story up that her baby was with imaginanny, and not dead from her own cold evil hands. MOO

Um the car seat could not have been in there the entire time do to her friends that were in her car.

I HATE to be one of those people that says "I just came in, can you tell me what I missed?" hahaa, but I have to.

Did... did I hear Jose admit there was a body in the trunk? During his cross of Simon when he said you knew there was evidence of a homicide and you didn't call police? Was he admitting there was decomp in the trunk? It was the way he phrased it. And then they showed Cindy with this shocked look on her face and George shushing her.

I didn't see that (just came in too) but it sounds like JB. Last night after the Jury had gone out he kept complaining about teh SA showing the videos, boyfriend sleepovers etc and said the SA was trying to show she had "no remorse"- with that HHJP told him he should only use remorse after someone had committed a crime.. duh So he admits her guilt all the time, but is too (fill in the blank) to realise it..

great point I might add if Caylee died in an accident how in world could she drive around with her car-seat? I'm sure I couldn't it would be way too painful

Exactly. When we've had to put our dogs to sleep, I couldn't bear to look at their water bowls, food bowls, toys, etc. I couldn't imagine losing a child and driving around with their empty car seat.

IMO

I don't know if he was protecting Cindy, or himself. He had to live with her and that was her reality.

Are you sure he "had to" live with her? Maybe he really does love her?

  • #751
Yes, I think we all are.

Is she heavily sedated? Or is she a true sociopath? I mean, I can't even talk about taking my dog to be put to sleep without crying and it has been a long time. My dad is dead, but if I saw him talking like this and crying, it would break my heart. (and he was a violent alcoholic, so we were no Walton family)

She seems to have no affect and no emotion at all. It is fascinating. I hope that we get the whole, real story at some point so we can puzzle out what is going on with her.

Part of profile of the sociopath:

"Callousness/Lack of Empathy
Unable to empathize with the pain of their victims, having only contempt for others' feelings of distress and readily taking advantage of them."

"Shallow Emotions
When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises."

ICA livid talking to CM - then camera shuts off.
I believe she is telling them to crush GA on cross exam, she is that cruel

.

Hi, Tiki. I think that she realizes that Baez's opening statement theory is a house of cards that has already been damaged severely. So much of it rests on establishing early sexual abuse (to get it into testimony) AND presenting George Anthony as the central actor in an accidental murder. At this point, Baez has been stymied in getting in even minimal testimony of the first AND, so far at least, George has acquitted himself well on the stand. Casey must realize that her chances of freedom are dissolving in the very first week of the case.

The prosecution case is slow, methodical, even plodding, but over the course of several weeks, parts will come together, forming a coherent picture of a mother who knew that her daughter was gone, but had simply moved on.

To me, it seems increasingly possible that Casey herself will be forced to testify to put the bizarre sexual abuse theory into the record. But that would be a prolonged disaster for the defense....

GA could barely speak after seeing that pic of the carseat!! That just bout killed him and me and she's not my child yet Casey sat there expressionless. Speaks volumes. If Xaylee did die accidentally she would have broke down seeing her baby's empty carseat knowing she will never sit in it again! For crying outloud every mother would!! Sooo telling! Im hoping the jury is taking note of that! It's my birthday and here I am obsessed with this case again crying my eyes out! God bless Caylee! We are all here for you and you only sweet angel!!!

Casey talking a lot with attorneys. The smell of death from Caylee, her car seat, and the death mobile have zero affect on her.

MOTY.:hand:

IMO

The smell came from dead squirrels :rolleyes:and it's her dad's fault..he ran them over...according to the texts to Amy
I hope Amy is called soon and the texts about the squirrels are shown.

Would this be a mute point because she ditched the car?
no she ditched the car June 30th she drove it for 2 weeks with Caylee's car-seat in the back seat

OMG I 100% agree.

The fact is, they are giving him respect, and just as he told Baez on the stand, if you give me respect, I'll give it back.

He doesn't like the prosecution what so ever, they are trying to send his daughter to death row.

At this point, I feel wonderful in saying that George Anthony is there for his grand daughter Caylee :)

I worry about them. (I'm going to include Cindy in here because I'm really hoping that Cindy will also come around for Caylee, too) I wonder what they've seen in those psychological reports. The betrayal they must be feeling now must be massive. Compound that by having to deal with the public humiliation of being accused of child sexual abuse, enduring Baez' grilling on the stand, and this nightmare of their lives in general.

I know they've made questionable choices in the past, but they seem to be coming around for Caylee now, and I applaud that.

In looking at the placement of those straps, I'm not sure ICA could have gotten them over Caylee completely. Unless she wasn't placing the straps over Caylee's shoulders.

The straps look to me like the slot one would place for a rear facing infant. Although, photograph angles can be deceiving

I'm sure this has been asked before so forgive me but will the jurors get to see the car? Smell the car?

We are waiting for a decision on that from HHJP.
