Forgive me if this has already has been commented on, I have a two year old and a three year old so I can't keep up with the pace of the thread. In the picture of the backseat of the sunfire, I couldn't help but notice that the car seat doesn't look right. The straps are set very low, as if for an infant, not an almost three year old. My two year old is very tiny for her age, and there is no way that she would fit in that car seat with the straps set that low. Now, we had to take car seat installment training when we were first licensed as foster parents so perhaps I am just being nitpicky about the whole thing. Still, even if one were not "trained" about proper car seat installation and so on- doesn't it seem obvious that the settings are too low and not only uncomfortable for an almost three year old but also not safe?
Minor point, I realize. But yet another indication to me that Casey, despite supposedly putting on a "loving, attentive" mother facade, really, deep down, didn't pay that much attention to the things that a "normal" mother would pay attention to.

Completely agree. Unless Caylee had another seat she certainly wasn't restrained properly in this one prior to her demise.

I'm sure this has been asked before so forgive me but will the jurors get to see the car? Smell the car?

From what I remember, this was brought up during jury selection. The SA said that Dr. Vass has some "samples" in containers ... JP told the SA that they have to lay a foundation for the jury to "smell" the "smell" ...

Please correct me if I am incorrect. Thanks !

JB reading a book...opens to the very beginning....bible? trial rules?

If I recall from way back then, didn't Cindy put the carseat from the Pontiac in the garage attic?

Yes! I thought so too!

(about heels in mud)

I would think that if they were muddy, LE, investigators, etc would immediately check that out. We've heard nothing about muddy heels have we?

Just got on here after tornado warnings...what time is court recess over?

Do you have a cellar? Please stay safe...
We had a tornado in SE LA last night....caused quite a bit of damage
And we don't have cellars down here.......

Some people who sit on a jury have an issue putting someone on death row and that's a stranger to them. Imagine if it was your own child, no matter how bad they were.

Def. agree with you. I'm sure he doesn't want her to get the DP. I can't even imagine the pain that family is in.

I am a little concerned about the seemingly lack of knowledge of tow company fees even I'm familiar with them. George also stated he had prior knowledge to know to take gas from other incidences of cars being towed. I am just wondering if the upset was more that the fact the car had been towed rather than the fees associated with and the anger/concern was taken out on the tow company.

Let us not forget the Hans Reiser trial. There was no body. He claimed innocence, wrote tremendously, claimed aspergers. He was a Linux guru. Found guilty, took police to Nina's body. He played it to the end.

Ugh, here we go. Please treat the witness with RESPECT, JB.

Okay, steady now George.!!!

I was about to make a similar comment. :) Plus, as depicted in the photo, there are only one set of slots the straps can go...

In that photo there is actually a panel piece that goes over the other slots. Once you start moving the straps up....the panel is removed. It is a safety feature so that babies don't get fingers caught in the higher slots.

Is the defense trying categorically to say that there was never a dead body in the trunk? That doesn't make sense in that they could always say George put the body in there. I wonder if Baez or Cheney will ask George point blank if he put Caylee in the trunk.

I wish the SA would have asked ALL of Casey's friends: "Did Casey ever lie to you?"

I am really nervous about this cross coming up - so many actions by george can be spun to go with their story - I can understand why no action was taken at the tow yard when he smelled the odor. When I am in a stressful situation I tend to process the whole situation much later and then I get it and then it is like "wow"! Jury is back in , buckle-up George.
