Doesn't matter, he's still getting his point across. You can't unring a bell. GA should have never driven that car home.

George needs to just spit out the truth, the WHOLE truth, and nothing but the truth.

Ducking now...

:truce:

IMO

As they say, hind sight is 20/20. Wouldn't you think IF GA were trying to pin this on Casey, calling LE when he arrived at Johnson's towing would have been the perfect time to have done so? I think major denial went into overdrive when he smelled the car and in that denial he drove the car home, trying to minimize its importance.

I hesitate to say this but, the jury will not like the fact that a former LE detective did not call the police about the stinky car either.

I agree with you but I really don't know how I would have handled it. My daughter and her child are usually around but they haven't been in the last month. My SO has talked to my daughter recently and we know that she is being elusive. The car is found and it smells to high heaven but there is nothing in there. Could they have filed a missing persons report for Casey and Caylee at that time or would you really want to wait and see if you could contact her first which I'm sure that GA knew that CA would be trying to contact Casey after they picked up the car, smell or no smell.

I probably would have convinced myself that I was imagining the smell was human decomp and that Casey being Casey had something really funky in the car and I would want to talk to her first if I could.

I'm not sure if this is the proper place to put these wanderings of my thoughts or not so mods please remove if it isn't.

How can ICA sit there and watch her father be tortured like this?? She is beyond evil in y book! Speak up NOW ICA and let your family, friends, anyone who knew you OFF THE HOOK! shame shame shame on her for allowing her dad to be put thru this!! as for JB--*^*%%***(*^%$&*((!!

GA has had years of practice with CA - thwarting interrogation. I think he must be on some great meds too, his anger is not controlling him, he is controlling it. Looks good on him.

I think that George is doing an excellent job on the stand. The only thing I think he needs to be careful of is second guessing the motive for the questions. Baez is trying to put words in his mouth, which of course leads to George second guessing ... and more sidebars but he's going really well

Cindy took over like she always did when it came to matters of ICA. She wore the pants. How I wish GA would have just put his foot down and called police right away.. that didn't happen. Now he's paying for it with this abuse from JB.

If memory serves me, I think Cindy said that she told GA to go to work and she would handle ICA.

Why doesn't the state just ask GA who wore the pants in that family? It would clear a lot up as to why he didn't take care of a lot of things or why he wouldn't call the cops or whatever or allow his mind to go in certain directions until he consulted with CA?

The jury doesn't understand the totality of this family's dysfunction to be able to put GA's demeanor into context.

moo

ITA - we're connecting the dots, but the jury doesn't have the same information. However, ICAs demeanor is not painting herself and some poor helpless victim, so I think Mr. Ashton will pull this out.

There is a special place in He77 for a daughter and mother that would do what she has done. and that's not just my opinion

I am trying so hard not to say how angry I am at the way the Victim's grandfather is being treated by this "lawyer"

especially after welcoming this lawyer into his home and having dinner with him and IMO co-ordinating ways to help Casey...He just wasn't privy to the NEW plan...go after George, destroy George at all cost.
:twocents:

If my daughter was talking to my wife frequently, telling her all the things my grandaughter had been doing, I don't think I would believe her body had been in the trunk of the car I smelled decomp. in if I didn't see it. I wouldn't want to believe it.

Frankly, if I were a person who wanted to protect my daughter way beyond the point of legality or morality, I might think, there was the body of SOMEONE ELSE in the car, who was not Caylee, and I should talk to Casey, or have my wife talk to Casey, before I called the police.

I couldn't agree more... they were used to covering for ICA and they wanted to hear from her what the smell was.

Well, GA is driving me crazy. Note that I don't particularly like any member of this family (or the defense team), from the git-go.

Why in the world can't GA answer a straightforward question in a straightforward manner?

I don't care whose side GA is on, why can't he just answer a question when asked, since he wants justice for Caylee, too.

Is it ok to express this?

I believe its because there is a period of time where they helped sell the Zanny story and were, in fact, lying. He is trying to predict where the questioning is going instead of just answering and that's hurting him. I also think it must be damn near impossible not to want to murder the man who said you put your penis in your daughter's mouth !

I wish george would simply say "You're talking about my 2 year old granddaughter."

When Baez is acting like this about decomp and the woods etc. He acts like it's nothing.

I doubt George ever truly thought that smell was anything but exactly what it was: decomposition.

I agree, IMO he probably felt Caylee or Casey may of been in the trunk and when the guy at the tow yard opened it and found only garbage George was probably so relieved he didn't want to think about it, just glad at the time that there was not a body in the trunk. Then when he drove the car home the smell was so powerful he panicked. Who knows what Cindy told him to do. She wore the pants she probably told him to go work that she would take care of it and she did, she washed Casey's pants and took evidence out of the car...She is the one that knew IMO... :cow:

I have to admit, I do not at all undetstand not calling the police right from the tow yard. I don't know what human decomp smells like, but if I smelled something horrible from a car my daughter had been using and I had not been able to reach, not to mention her child, in weeks, I would not have touched that car without police looking it over. Regardless of what you don't want to think about...you make that call.

What a horrible thing to do to her father.
