The closest thing I could resemble it to was rotting flesh. CA

  • #1,202
I really don't care if she hedges on the odor. There are plenty of other things and people who point it to being a dead body.

JB: car smelled like nothing you had smelled before
CA: yes the car was overwhelming - closest thing compare to - rotting flesh
JB: did you call LE
CA:didn't believe to be rotting flesh

Jurors will understand denial! WTG Cindy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is the saying "What died in here?" just a regional thing when you walk into a room and smell something really stinky? The way that Cindy is telling it now she told people at work that the car smelled like something died in it...in other words it smelled really, really bad.

Where I am from, this is a completely normal saying for anything that flat out stinks - garbage, BO, feet etc. We frequently reference my mini-van smelling like it has dead bodies in it because I am a pig and never clean it out so it gets funky often.

JB: u said Geo's reaction was similar to yrs?

CA: yes

JB: we did not hear Geo's reaction in that 911 tape. Did we?

CA: no, sir

  • #1,207
JB is exactly sure what part of the trial is in is it Cross exam, redirect, before lunch, after lunch. He is a nightmare.

  • #1,208
NO comments about ICA/JB's photo 'windfall'????? Anyone know if this will be mentioned and if not why..........(NOT RELEVANT)???

This woman looks like she's been through the ringer and then back again for good measure. I don't recall ever seeing a person go through the mental anguish in the short period of time that she has gone through today.

I was going to say she look like she has aged 10 years just today.

  • #1,210
Play that tape again......please

  • #1,211
we didn't hear inmates either

  • #1,212
She probably never smelled a dead body decompsing in the summer heat. This is usually not the type of decomp one would smell in a hospital.

EXACTLY. That smell isn't like the dead smell she has smelled. She has never smelled rotting flesh! I'm glad she cleared that up.

It annoys me she is reading from notes, I noticed it earlier but now really she is reading slowly and double checking before answering.

She knows everything she will be asked in order .why?

  • #1,214
Rotting flesh = decomposing body.

  • #1,215
CA is too smart for JB. I'm sorry.

  • #1,216
Yay cindy!!!!!

  • #1,217
Baez trying to get graduation back in
Going to say Casey began to lie before Caylee was born...

  • #1,218
That was confusing - Cindy said the car smelled like "rotting flesh", but when JB asked if she reported to the police if she said "rotting flesh", she said it smelled like garbage.

  • #1,219
Cindy *is* naive or trusting, or whatever you want to call it, in some ways. She's even agreeing with Baez in ways that I wouldn't. BUT I do not believe for a minute that she is delusional or clinically mentally ill in any way. There has been no evidence of that that I've seen, other than her wanting to trust and believe her daughter was not capable of killing her granddaughter.

ETA: What was that last look CIndy just gave in Jose's direction? Was she just agreeing with him cuz she's exhausted I wonder?

  • #1,220
Jose bringing up high school graduation to show Casey lied prior to Caylee's death.
Casey was shy a half credit of required class.
