Vinnie just said on HLN - If you fall in the pool twice are you any more wet? Kind of like Casey's lies.

Did you hear the caller earlier that must have been pro-defense.

They cut her off and went to commercial.

She stated the defense was going to come back and clean the floor, basically.

I just realize the word "Thwartcake" may not be in our trial definitions thread or be identified in any way.

So I wanted to just put a little explanation to any of the (very welcome) newbies who are...:waitasec: ...wondering WTH is that about.

A couple of months ago, in clear frustration, A_News_Junkie was making a list of all the words thwart could be made into or used on these threads during the Frye hearings.

We got so excited every time HHJP or anyone else stopped the Defense Team and particularly Mr. Baez in his tracks - we started awarding cupcakes, which very quickly became "Thwartcake" "Awards...

Well, you had to be there I guess...
Some of us really enjoyed the creation process....:woohoo:

Hey, Baez could have asked Yuri today on the stand if he had ever been awarded a Thwartcake........... hmm - maybe I should send Baez an email? :waitasec:

Am I to really believe that Casey simply murdered her daughter in cold blood and then went about her business as if nothing had happened? Really? I am to believe that over the fact that everyone is involved in making her look guilty?

The OCSO, did not investigate a accidental drowning. TA DA! Her mother did not know about the accidental drowning because Casey said Caylee was alive and well. TA DA! George, who we have no proof of and have offered no proof of COULD HAVE sexually abused Casey. SUPER TA DA!

What about Amy and Maria? They were jealous of Casey being around their boyfriends. They would say bad things about Casey because of the shirt she wore yesterday. They were going to have Lee stand up and identify "them" but I think it was overruled. Thwarted again! Gads!

And, Roy Kronk...don't even get me started on that man. No really don't get Jose started on that subject because he does not have anything.

What else are we supposed to think when Yuri Melich did not know that Casey was lying about everything? How could he not know? It is so obvious she was making it all up and that he was just ignoring her words in quotes which would have let him know that Caylee died in a accident and Casey had to cover it up for George.

Everyone knew Casey lied. Everyone knew that Jose had asked them if Casey ever told them she was abused. So why can't you?

?
Chiquita this is great ! :floorlaugh:

So many "red flags" have been ignored by LE. I didn't understand it until Jose brought it out today. That's why he's the lawyer, I guess. I don't care that he graduated at the bottom of his class, he's brilliant. If only someone could encourage him to really push this "organized packing" issue to the jury, we might be able to save Casey.

I have to say after watching Vinnie this evening one caller called in. She made a statement that is really ringing true with me and since I've not followed the case since a 1 1/2 to trial it may have been said. so here is what she said in my summation: Why kill the child at two years old? Could it be because at two or three years old, children are able to converse and say things like how school was that day or daycare.

So let's suppose that Casey thought she had to keep Caylee away from her parents until this accident that ICA is most likely responsible for was because she knew that at one time CA could say "Mommy put me in the trunk last night" or "Mommy left me in the car with my babydoll and there were bright lights." I haven't heard it but it makes the most sense to me.

Yes, a lot of people have been commenting lately that Caylee getting older and able to be more vocal about what may have been occurring could have been an issue..

The whole thing about how Casey's bags were packed is just silly. I am a terrible packer - very inclined to just throw stuff in the bag and hang it up and iron if needed once I get to the hotel. BUT - if I am on a road trip, stopping at a different hotel each night, and going to be living out of my suitcase, THEN I pack neatly and carefully. From everything I've heard, Casey was basically living out of her duffle bag while moving from friend to boyfriend, and so it makes sense to me that she'd pack more neatly for that situation.

Tink

I thought that Tony packed her bags though. I can't remember now...was this question about who packed her bags asked by JB to LA? Was JB trying to imply that someone may have slipped something in her bag that was not hers or what?

I just got home and right before I left to go out I saw LInda K. Baden on a tv show. probably headline news. Anyway, she said there was going to be a huge shocker during the defense case and to get ready or something like that. Anyone else hear that and if so, what do you think it is??? KC testifying? Lee testifying??? about the abuse???

My guess is that it was the Dick Tracy Orlando WebsleuthsGate.

You've done nothing but "grasping at straws" the entire time ~ at least by bringing Websleuths into the mix, Caylee has one that is Stright-up and Sturdy instead of the the other crazy swirly straws that are not working at all.

We must remember to bring this back around to Caylee everyday! It will never stop breaking my heart to hear and know that she was reduced to being a "foul odor" due to her Spiteful birth mother and her selfish lying lifestyle.

Websleuths has given Caylee more time, attention and love since the moment when we first heard her name, far more caring than Casey ever did without acting, so to me, it was not surprising when we were officially attached to this case today. Karma? As a Floridian, I would gladly pay extra taxes to make it to the Eye for an Eye Sentence...and don't be surprised if you see me in the courtroom before this is over...I will be disguised as a Poster! :floorlaugh:

Bravo WBS ~

I got the impression she meant something would happen during the defense case. I could be wrong.

:okay:

Enough of my sarcastic ramblings. I am going to turn on CALM Radio and listen and try to forget anything Jose had to say today.

Thank you to everyone who posted. Who could have known WS would blow up like that? I got booted off for a while but still managed to get a few posts in. Thanks to the Mods for all the hard work. :tyou:

What was most amazing for me today was CM arguing that Casey was this poor intimidated creature following the whims of the big bad uniformed officers that were responding to her mother's desperate call(s) for help to find her missing granddaughter.

What is CM thinking? Does he really see it this way? Of all the things the defense is making up, it is rather obvious that Cindy called 911 and requested law enforcement. The "truth" had come out that Caylee was "not with" Casey i.e. missing: and whether the defense story about an accidental drowning is true or not...there is no reason Casey should have been upset about the officers that responded. IMHO.

Front page Caylee threads - believe the trial threads are listed in the first top box - if not the first it is the second box.

Does anyone know where I might find a floor plan for the courtroom? (Just having a hard time following who is looking where.) Thanks in advance if you can help!

Go here for a floor plan of Courtroom 23 in the first small photo (square) under the larger image. Just poke around--you'll find it. :)

I heard this lady and I totally agree. I was going to post this myself but glad you did. I have struggled with why why why and I think this lady has come up with the answer. She had to get rid of CA or she would be found out and her whole make believe world would be gone. tia

I've got a question...

I was telling my teenage daughter about this case today. We don't have TV, cable, etc., so she's only ever heard of KC and Caylee from a cnn headline a couple of years ago. In telling her about the defense strategy she asked me this:

Are we supposed to believe that ICA's pretend world *was real to her*? Did she temporarily believe there was a nanny, her daughter was alive and well and touring Florida and that a cast of loving characters was joining her here and there? In other words - did she supposedly in the defense theory *not know that she was lying?*

OMG! I feel for Yuri and all of the prosecution and anyone who strives to have justice for Caylee! It does not take a rocket scientist to conclude who was responsible for the death of that precious child. I looked back at Yuri's posts and not one discloses anything and several times is requesting prayers for the Anthony family. Jose Baez is "barking up the wrong tree". He would have fared much better had he stuck to an "accident theory and Casey just freaked out" defense. When the defense in their opening statements threw out all the minutia it basically lost the case for him, IMHO.
The jury are normal residents of Florida who are not idiots, again in my humble opinion Jose Baez insulted their intelligence by his statements that he cannot prove. He cannot even prove if Casey takes the stand because the State has already shown that Casey way of conduct is to lie and lie bigger as her back gets pushed against the wall. The Anthony family is guilty of enabling Casey throughout her life and not wanting Casey upset or she would throw a fit or take Caylee away, or whatever it is that Casey would do or say that everyone would just let Casey "live" in "Casey's world" because life at home was more peaceful when Casey was happy. Nobody realizes the danger in not teaching your children consequences until they grow up and do not fit in well socially and that is what the Anthonys are guilty of in my opinion. If Jose wants to save Casey's life he had better have a talk with her to plea to LWOP, the State will not back down now because he opened Pandora's Box. It's a shame that the case wasn't tried here in Texas....Casey would already be in Huntsville I believe.

I'm listening to YMs testimon and it occurs to me that we will hear eyewitness testimony from the people who crawled around gathering Caylee's remains.

jurors will not forget the angry, bitter, cussing, ..'oh.my.god, calling you guys was such a WASTE' - just give me tony's number now' comment that counters that insinuation. they just won't.

she's not intimidated. she does the intimidating and manipulating.
