OMG, why don't they have a guy with a pole to poke those who fall asleep???

Did they let the narcoleptic on the jury? I can't remember if he stayed or if he was dismissed. Anyone know?

Please let's not go down the "unflattering comparisons to various actors" path again. (And yes, I do mean unflattering to the poor actors.)

:tyou:!

Jean C said juror #6 was sleeping during the tapes being played

And just how does Jean know that the juror was asleep? Were they snoring? Perhaps, they were just listening with their eyes closed.

We don't really know if a juror was asleep. Could have been looking down, could have been closing eyes in prayer, anything.

Here is what my brain keeps screaming. The defense has 1 job, create "Reasonable Doubt." All sarcasm and joking aside, has the defense proven 1 single thing to give reasonable doubt? In my opinion, they have just been fortifying the State's case. Can anyone show me where they have scored ANY points for RD?

While listening to the audio, I was reminded of this quote from Gone With the Wind: "Melly, you are a cool liar" (Scarlet O'Hara to Melanie Wilkes). Casey is a COOL liar: Her lies are effortless and convincing. Scary!

IMO - I have thought all along that all of the deceitful qualities of the Scarlett character in Gone with the Wind are an apt description of ICA.

And for our afternoon's listening pleasure, may I present DT's Theme Song

sorry I couldn't find a better clip

Jb could write material for the late night shows. He picked the wrong profession.

I just remembered something. Remember way back when LE was questioning ICA? They gave ICA EVERY opportunity to tell the truth. LE told her that if there was an "accident" that all she had to do was say so, and they would understand. So, if there was an accident of Caylee drowning in the pool, right then and there was her chance to tell LE! But she didn't!

especially how everyone says HOW CLOSE they were,he would be the one out of everyone who she would tell if it were an accident!!

When KC found out she would be charged with 1st degree murder and possible death penalty why did she not say then "it was an accident"? Besides that she is a <modsnip> why did she not speak up three years ago?

She couldn't reveal where Caylee was- the Medical Examiner would have been able to determine exact cause of death at that stage, that would have scuppered her accidental death story.

It's Jean C.

Personally, I pay no attention to anything that comes out of her mouth. I need it verified by someone credible before I believe anything she says. Pro-prosecution or pro-defense doesn't matter, I immediately ignore her comments.

I've only briefly scanned this thread to try to catch up with this morning's events. I slept in until 9:00am (west coast) and missed this morning's session of court. It looks like I picked the wrong day to sleep..........I've got a lot of catching up to do!

My thought that she didn't was because she knew Caylee's mouth would be found with duct tape on it plus she was triple bagged and thrown in the woods like she was trash. That ain't no accident.

It's odd that there wasn't more twitter about it (at least on wesh) --- they mostly said the jurors were riveted, staring at the monitor, etc.

I'm just the messenger :)
She said it on HLN just a few minutes ago.....

She said at first she thought maybe he was just listening with his eyes closed, but then he kept jolting in that way one does when starting into being awake again...FWIW

I respectfully disagree. To me she's nothing special as far as psychopaths or remorseless murderers go. She a liar and not a very good one. Unfortunately for her, she became too confident in her abilities after being able to easily fool her parents for years. Seems she wasn't to manipulate anyone long term except her parents.

You are spot on. To me ICA has been nothing but COMMON. And I mean that in every sense of the word.

Lippman's cryptic comment concerns me.

If he is thinking JB will be disbarred, wouldn't that disbarment be used to support an ineffective counsel argument for appeal??

That would not be a good thing.

BBM

I think you mean what a big fool he is making of himself. He can make his own choices on what to say and do in his cases and his life.

I cannot wait until my daughter comes home from school. We laugh at some of the things he says. I cannot wait to tell her he asked the detective what he would of done if Casey said don't sit there Zanny is sitting there. Is anyone taking notes of all the odd things he says. I like when he asked Tony L. if Casey ever talked about killing anyone, then said did she talk about killing you. When you were at JCPenny did you buy weapons, cloroform (sp?), duct tape. Did she talk about killing anyone then. My daughter and I were just looking at eachother and shaking our heads. If this was not a case about a dead 2 year old, it would be funny.

He is way over his head with this case.
