LOL 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

Does anyone know what is on the agenda tomorrow in court? I'm signing off in a few and I do have tomorrow to watch a bit of the trial. Thank you advance for letting me know what might be happening in court!

Their speaking in code was driving me crazy. They have some weird speech patterns and phrases. Casey kept saying to the best of my knowledge - I don't think that's a natural way to answer a question from your parents or brother - KWIM?

OMG I know just what you mean. After us watching today, I asked my 19 year old daughter if she went and started the laundry, she replied " To the best of my knowledge, the laundry could potentially have been administered to" I laughed so hard but knew right away who she was imitating. So I said "Good because I am facilitating this afternoon and lack the time and resources to attend to the chore myself."

It's just not a natural way to talk, especially for 2 young siblings and I know, I have kids from 22 to 13. They don't talk this way to each other. It would be more like "Hey, where should I start looking, just give me some straight answers." and after her roundabout answers that really answer nothing, I can see one of my kids, raising their voice and demanding answers. They all tiptoed around Casey to avoid confrontation. I'm sure it happened alot. Don't rock the boat mentality.

This bears repeating......especially since the defense wants Mr. Anthony's medical records. They will not stop until they destroy him.

My recollection is that Mr. Anthony attempted suicide one day after it was reported in the media that a heart shape sticker was placed on the taped mouth of little Caylee. Here is a snip from Momlogic on this dated January 23, 2009:

Dr. Charles Sophy, Medical Director for the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, says, "George Anthony is a man who is forced to come to grips to face himself."

That won't be easy for the grieving grandfather, who throughout the entire investigation has seemingly lived in a state of constant denial.

"I don't want to believe that I have raised someone, and brought someone in this world, that could do something to another person. I don't want to believe that,"

:welcome: to bayouland and to ALL our new posters! Glad you joined us!

this is the song that keeps playing in my mind....when JB asked for another mis-trial

When Baez was reading here looking for his defense,he should have checked out all the videos we have on KC.Maybe if he would have watched them he might have gotten a clue to how KC was NOT grieving!Gee wasn't he with her like 8 hrs a day in the beginning?Did he not realize she was swigging her arse and wearing her cool white shades!!!!!!GMAB!!
Florida tax payers and Tim Miller should sue her for letting them waste money searching.

Funny you should say that cuz I sincerely wonder if this is the first time anyone on the DT has actually taken the time to view these jail house video's with a keen eye. I know they are working pro bono but if "Death is different" wouldn't they have taken this more seriously before now? It's a little late in the game to go for a mental defense. Unless, of course, Ms Casey has adamantly denied there is anything wrong. In which case, more rich irony.

On the trial thread a poster stated that KC had written her female prison friend and stated that Baez had told her that there would be a mistrial.

I don't remember that. Is that accurate? TIA!

I know, but how for GA. I know for KC, but GA?

ETA: Never mind, I got it. Link, lol. But still, I don't understand why the Court would agree to Order a Subpoena for GA.

My guess is that JB threatened the heathcare provider with making them sit through his cross examination if they didn't hand them over. I bet they couldn't get the copier to warm up fast enough after that :great:

I honestly think a few Judges asked him on. I've seen it happen in really bad DP cases that no one wanted to touch. Much worse than this one really. I have no idea, but if you find out that he does get to bill the state of FL for hours, you know that some Judges pulled him in as a necessity.

This is what I have thought from the beginning. He was asked to be on the DT so the case would not be tried again. I don't think anyone anticipated how headstrong ICA and JB would be.

 does anyone of the MODS know where the morning session thread went?

Tara was Mark Hawkin's x-wife? Did I hear that right?

There are numerous posts and threads about Tara. At one time she and Lee were an item. Tara was thought to be pregs by Lee, had an abortion without Lee's knowledge. Lee wrote a scathing my space posting about her.

Do a search here and happy reading.

After being denied much today because I am trying to watch at least the afternoon portion, my son said he has a story for his kids when they complain about not getting to do something. It begins, "You think you have it bad - when I was 11 years old, I could not watch tv, play video games or make any noise because my mother was watching the casey anthony trial."
This probably tops the old walking three miles to school stories.

Hello friends!
Enjoyed reading over this thread. Missed being with you all today but was watched on TV since local WFTV (CH 9) now showing the complete trial there. So much nicer now that I can use my DVR to pause and fast forward through the sidebars and breaks.

Anyway one thing I wanted to mention from watching Melich today. I wish he and others would not follow JB's lead and use the word "imaginary friend". I wish every time JB mentioned it they would answer using the words "fictitious friend" instead.

Other than that Melich did great. Loved that perplexed look he gets on his face when JB asked a dumb question and how he talks to the jury, great persona!

Also couldn't believe out of all those lawyers that have been on the defense team no one tried to stop those jail house tapes until today. At least JB owned up to it being his fault. I guess JB should have spent less time reading here and more time preparing the case on his own instead looking to us for his ideas.

I think George's suicide is going to be a topic-- about his guilt.

That could be looked upon as either guilty or innocent I think. In fact, I think if you are innocent, you are more likely to want to commit suicide. I think the guilty want to prove their innocence. Looking at KC's guilt, I doubt but wonder if she ever contemplated suicide.

ITA. I recall hearing somewhere that George said he was tired of living a lie (oh boy even as I write this, I cringe at the thought of the defense getting a hold of it. If we hear it in court in the next couple of hearings...)

Anyhow, I think George was going along with Cindy's 'denial' for the sake of her sanity (either out of love for her or to keep peace, whatever) yet he knew the truth. That would be enough to drive any sane person to the brink, IMO.

Just have to say... I have been watching, reading, digesting  here all day. I had to start with the cocktails at 5 pm (I wanted to start earlier...much much earlier- I would've if I lived in New Zealand!). I started with the hard stuff too!

Her goose is COOKED! I hope that the juror who keeps nodding off has already determined her guilty and figures-"meh- this is all BS lies, so I'll just nap until i get to my special breaks and the deliberations" How can someone nap thru this????

Not going to paint Jose as a carpy atty with a broad paintbrush, (tho I think he is), I just wonder if he isn't doing everything in his power to raise appellate issues for inaffective assistance of council down the line and fall on his sword (like Cynthia Sommer's atty did).

Is he (like his client ICA) just crazy, or crazy like a fox?
