Completely and utterly off topic.

May I just say I love our little group here :grouphug:

It's like watching this trial in a room full of a whole bunch of people. I absolutely love what everyone has to offer. It's all different, which is what makes it so great :)

That is all ....

I liked when Mason got put in his place... telling the witness, "Look at me!"

Um... Hello? These are professional people, trained to talk to the jury, after all, they, THE JURY, are WHY the experts are testifying! These Pro's give their answer to the people who matter... the jurists.

To embarrass yourself by telling the witness, "Look at me!" You're telling the jury that THEY are not important... can we say "lose points?"

I need to clarify. I was talking about hearsay with Uklaw and made some posts stating the question as to whether Dr. Lee tested evidence call for hearsay. Upon reflection, I think Uklaw is right and it isn't hearsay because an action can be subject to hearsay but only if it states something, like a nod or the shaking of the head, etc. Dr. Lee testing something would probably not fall into that area.

However, since Dr, Lee is apparently not testifying, it could be. I'm not sure. Or at least, asking him if Dr. Lee tested the evidence likely cued the state that the next question would elicit hearsay.

In any event, the question lacked foundation and would be irrelevant if Dr. Lee was not testifying.

I just wanted to clear that up because I don't want to give incorrect information, especially to any law students!!!!!!

That was awful. Besides going along with JB's games, I really don't think he can hear them well so he really needs to see their lips move.

 Watch that happen tomorrow.

I used to think Baez treated witnesses so awful, but he is down right personable compared to CM.

Jean C. said that Casey said on the jail tape heard today "when this goes to trial"...not sure I recall hearing that but it is an interesting comment for Casey to make so early on...

Maybe she was only thinking there would be a trial for child endangerment and lying to police? I think she thought the body would be found and Zanny would be blamed.

:great: I think today was great ... :woohoo:

The "Forensic Evidence" is finally making its way into the Court by the state, and I think this is something that many of us have been waiting anxiously to see. And most importantly, the Jury is getting to see the "physical" and "forensice evidence" !

It is "my opinion" that the Forensic Evidence will be the key for this case.

Science ... does NOT lie . . . :woohoo:

That did clear it up. Thanks for the explanation.

I just LURRRVED today when Linda redirects Bloise and he said that DT was only wearing gloves and not hairnets. And she just sat there.... waiting... giving it time to sink in and for the jurors to write their notes. That was priceless.

Glad I'm not in the gallery as I woulda "Wooot!" at that moment. LOL

Arg! I knew I should have cancelled my doctors appointment this morning! I need video!

I'd like to see that highlight from today too!

I don't understand the strategy - most people don't want to see another person publicly 'abused' (for lack of a better word). I don't understand why an attorney would bully someone on the stand who isn't a key witness they'd like to rattle.

Where's the bar? We need a drink. ;)

Grab a stool and get comfortable!

Yep.

Did we ever get final word on whether they'll be able to smell the cans? Anyone?

Absolutely agreed. I can barely stand to watch CM cross. I'm wondering if it's some type of tactic. But I tend to think otherwise because of his previous performance in Court. He's got a way about him (and it isn't pleasant) He comes across as so condescending.

Were the hairs in the trunk identified as Caylee's?

There is a sexual abuse victim on Vinnie on HLN and she is talking as though it is a FACT that Casey was abused. And in her opinion the jail house tapes show she was abused by her father.

'Of course she would choose her father to reach out to, we always try to get that father we never really had. '

It bothers me, as a SA victim myself, that other victims AUTOMATICALLY believe other abuse victims claims. As a daughter of a defense attorney* I met several wounded men who were falsely accused of sexual abuse. it tore them apart.

* he was not the perp, fwiw

I like Baez's statement to Bloise. Paraphrasing, but he said that what we shed most is hair. I don't know about you, but hair and skin is pretty much all I shed. Then Linda got up on redirect and found out the defense didn't wear hairnets when they examined the car !!
